Why must we “Bundle” .. Racial Equality with Sexual Equality and Gender Equality ???

All three are separate issues IMO

Japanese society demands conformity
And yet we have no lock down, no mask mandates, and people are still angry over the issuance of a social security number, which many protest is a violation of privacy....
What's with the passive aggressive attitude all of a sudden? Y
Sorry - don't mean to sound that way. When I speak of Canada as a nation, I am not speaking of you.
In 2016, the Canadian Human Rights Tribunal found the federal government discriminated against First Nations children and said Canada's actions led to "trauma and harm to the highest degree, causing pain and suffering."
And they appear to have learned zero lessons from that. Like today, many believed those cruel actions were for the good of all.

the basic human right of being addressed as the gender they identify with.
A basic human right, by definition is the right to be free to do as you choose, say what you want, etc. Forcing others to speak in a way that pleases you is not a human right, but an authoritarian demand. If I go to Canada, shall I demand that you call me "God?"

You're kind of diving into a huge array of different discussions, but sticking to the core of your sentiment...

All that matters is whether or not you accept that there are people who do not feel that their gender matches their physical sex.
Gender dysphoria is a medical diagnosis. The treatment and protected group status, handed over to social justice warriors who reject any argument or facts contrary to their political narrative is destructive to society.

You don't accept that, and thus refuse to offer those people the basic human right of being addressed as the gender they identify with. This law is for people who feel the way you feel. It addresses a form of harassment and discrimination that (as you have shown) is very real.
How many genders are there?

Here's a List of 58 Gender Options for Facebook Users
https://abcnews.go.com/blogs/headlines/2014/02/heres-a-list-of-58-gender-options-for-facebook-users

Racial equality, sexual equality, gender equality. They're all human rights. You don't get to pick and choose which person can be accepted as their true selves and which can't. And at the end of the day... how does it hurt you to respect such a simple request?

Forcing people to use imaginary words to protect your fragile identity wrapped in narcissistic personality disorder isn't a human right. I don't care if you call yourself a walrus, lay on the beach all day and eat raw fish. Just don't expect me to call you walrus.

Exactly. Human rights don't force other people to violate their conscience, to lie, to do anything at all.

@Joe N

The rights enumerated by God in the Bible are restrictions and protect people from harm, i.e. don't kill, don't bear false witness, don't covet.

The USA Bill of Rights recognizes our rights are inherited and provided by God's law and restricts the Government from passing laws that infringe on those rights.

Freedom of expression, self-defense, ownership of property, can't be held without bail, innocent until proven guilty, etc..

Not really a comparison since different countries have different strategies to deal with Covid. Japan is an island and has banned 1/3 of the world from entry, including US, Canada and most of Europe. Strict border control keeps the population insulated from Covid. The US/Canada border is still open.

How is stating the fact a biological man is biologically physically superior to biological women wrong? Why are there no transgender men breaking sports records or even competing with biological men?

Do you think it's good to put a biological men in a women's prison to protect his "human rights"? What about the right of the real women?

As Brittany Bernstein reports: “Plaintiff Krystal Gonzalez says she was sexually assaulted by a biological male who was transferred to Central California Women’s Facility under the law. According to the suit, when Gonzalez filed a complaint and requested to be housed away from men the prison’s response called her alleged attacker a ‘transgender woman with a penis.’” Perhaps no phrase sums up the current state of liberal ideology as “woman with a penis.”

Does that bother you? You want this guy sleeping in the same room as your mom, wife, sister, daughter?

A man is not a women. Saying women menstruate is not harmful to men who believe they are women.

LOL.. But degrading and endangering actual women, is OK.

What amazes and terrifies me the most about people is the ability to ignore obvious, objective truth.

Jew's aren't human. Blacks are inferior. All whites are racist. Men and women are exactly the same. Men can be women. Women can be men.

It's take exactly zero seconds to recognize the problem with any of the above statements if you have a conscience and a healthy intellect.

As an International traveller, I'd be less concerned with the misuse of pronouns than with concealed hand guns.

You've been playing too many video games IMO :xf.wink:

Not that it makes any difference, but thanks for the geography correction - a remote island in the Atlantic Ocean.
We're not a remote island... we have an intercontinental airport... actually 2 airports and are visited by almost 200 cruise ships per year...

The "border closing" was pointless. They allowed in Olympic athletes, Japanese citizens and have all kinds of exceptions. The US military flies thousands in and out daily without even a CPR test, Typical incompetent and xenophobic old crooks in charge. That said, the PM has stated on record that he is against forcing or discriminating against anyone who refuses a vaccine.

As a "full democracy" may would challenge that assertion. I wouldn't, because I know how even "full democracies" are subverted by out-of-control and bloated governments.

I doubt a settlement will be reached , Putin wants his stuff back , Putin also is not going to play 2nd in a 1 world order .. it’s dangerous business for sure , but Putin isn’t going to concede

What was the original source for the vague thread title? Why isn't there an option " I don't think the U.S. economy is troubled? " Your poll assumes all voters believe that the U.S. economy has either always been troubled, or at one point the U.S. economy wasn't troubled and it became troubled (and is now either still troubled or no longer troubled). Very vague thread that will probably never end. All economies are troubled.
I gotcha. Updated poll title @lennnco

Who is to Blame for the 2012 US Recession?

Thread title is no longer relevant. Agree or disagree bro?

Dude, chill out.

I cant delete or change that poll. It is set in stone. I would love to delete it but it's not my forum.
I made that poll when I created this thread back in 2012 when the US economy was in the shitter.

It's an old poll but someday unfortunately it will be relavent again, so come back then.

.... And at the end of the day... how does it hurt you to respect such a simple request?
You ask people to accept a lie, claim it a simple request, and ask how does it hurt.

The lies is not small or simple and has nothing to do with respecting someones personal choice. Do what you want, don't call people who don't agree with you, hateful or bigots or ___phobic.

The lie is not simple, it's outrageous: women can have penises, men can get pregnant, men who have transitioned are equal to biological women and women who have transitioned are just like biological men.

Who get's hurt?

Biological women and children. Womanhood is demeaned, biological women have been hospitalized competing against transwomen.

Men who are asked to accept the lie to keep their job, stay in school, etc..

Women have been raped.

Men have invaded traditionally segregated private spaces like locker rooms, showers, toilets, dressing rooms.

I've posted sample in the previous post, you can find dozens of examples on duck.com if you actually care to look.

An interesting read,

The crises the United States now faces in its basic governmental functions are so profound that they require starting over. The founders understood that government is supposed to work for living people, rather than for a bunch of old ghosts. And now their ghostly constitution, worshipped like a religious document, is strangling the spirit that animated their enterprise, the idea that you mold politics to suit people, not the other way around.

Does the country have the humility to acknowledge that its old orders no longer work? Does it have the courage to begin again? As it managed so spectacularly at the birth of its nationhood, the United States requires the boldness to invent a new politics for a new era. It is entirely possible that it might do so. America is, after all, a country devoted to reinvention ...

The next US civil war is already here – we just refuse to see it

In the systems that many people want , Socialism + Marxism ? No Sir , why?? Because we are supposed to move forward, not backward , both Socialism and Marxism Ideologies are from the mid 1800s , so it would make sense to not entertain such Ideologies, and we aren’t , come to the table with a system that fits the 21st century and people will probably listen , act like hoodlums , burn down shit, protest Americas current system with out an answer for a new system , the Right aren’t listening and do not care how many child fits you throw , mother fuckers need to grow the fuck up, seriously

IMHO either extreme is dangerous. Do you really think 'the powers that be' are really concerned about who is Right or Left? Master manipulators playing sides off against the other in a viscious cycle that nobody wins except they who pull the strings. Get a grip...
