i think there is something wrong with the stats today .. i moved some domains yesterday and i was expecting massive traffic on one of them .. i got only 2 visitors !

Check your old parking company, most traffic will be there imho, you will see full blown stats in tomorrows stats.

Actually I find that 30 cents is about the average. I get 25-35 per click on all
110 domains no matter what the keyword(s)

Try using keywords "Japanese Translation" and "English Translation" instead of "Translator".

Missing dates on the reports?

Is anyone else having the problem of days missing from the detail reports? I've got a domain with a custom landing page, www.improvemympg.com, and it is missing Aug 18th, 22nd, and 24th. They are not on the report at all. Another domain listed at the same time has all the report dates (www.trackyourmpg.com). Are there any issues with not having valid data for the reporting, or having possible click records lost?

Also, I'd appreciate any comments on improving the customization to increase the number of visitors. It's listed 2nd on Yahoo.com for the keywords in the domain name, but still fairly low traffic to the domain. Also, while it's cached by Google, it doesn't place well there yet. Any suggestions? Also, what other places are people submitting sites to to get other SE placements? I just di MSN, Yahoo, and Google. Ask.com doesn't seem to have any easy place to submit a site without having a sitemap.

Its not a web site. Parking is not going to ever do what a web site developed will. Park it, pick out your keywords, choose templates, import a picture and move on.

cf, congrats for the parking program, i suggest to support idioms or let customize the static text in the "search button", "and more." in the title and the others like "Other Related Links:" to let me have all my spanish names in spanish and not "spaninglish".

I've shown my sites around to a few people and I'm happy to say they all thought that what they were looking at was a "real site". HOWEVER, once they clicked on the nav links and landed on the advertisements, they were immediately turned off. I think that what makes BODIS' landing page different and far better than anyone else is that there is room to customize the message on the site. To take it a step further, may i suggest having copy blocks along with the advertisements? I'm a designer/ID guy professionally and my initial suggestion is a block of copy above and below the advertisements. Copy areas is where we will have the opportunity to offer some content if we desire to do so.

Another question came up when I was presenting these sites. The question if what I was doing was "right". Meaning, am i misleading people or not by presenting a "site" that really isn't.

I have thought about it and I can't help but agree with those comments. With that said I have begun adjusting my sites so that my message does not throw off anybody. My sites offer "leads" to sites on my subject matter. That's it. If the keywords do their job as hoped, they may land on relevant pages that will give them the answers they are looking for. To add, I was thinking we could have an area where we manually insert links that we feel are valuable, not in the sense of revenue, but in information. These links would not make us any money of course since they are not advertisements. I was thinking the grey box area next to the picture would be the best spot in the current template.

All in all i think BODIS is the shiznit! :hehe:

I think you are worrying to much about the moralty of domain parking, the issue is do people find what they are looking for and depending on ctr rate that percentage says yes. I am extremely concerned about doing the right thing especially when it comes to TM's porn etc but dont put so much pressure on yourself that it causes you stress

Fatter it's not a question about morality. I can see why you would think that based on how I worded it. What I mean is simply giving the end user something more than just links. A little bit of relevant information may be enough to put a visitor in their comfort zone...

"ok here's some info on my topic of interest but not enough... lets click this and see what else I can find"

"ok im here but there's no content just ads. FU#K this I'm leaving"

This is just based on some friend's feedback. And as I mentioned in my entry, this would optional. Same way we can leave the copy in the homepage empty as well.

Ok i get it now, from first reading i thought you were being a little hard on yourself especially being the web is made up of a ton of differnt sites, the ones who drive me crazy are the sites from pop up hell that you cant close popups fast enough.

Are all clicks on bodis are around $0.30 ?
I find this to be the rule in my case, so the conclusion would be for one to move into bodis only domains making less than that on other systems...
I wonder if others have same experience.
