The LLL.com sales report & discussion thread

We need this one too guys :)

This guide will also help LLLL.com holders to understand more the value of their 4 letters .com based on how expensive the similar 3 letters .com are.

From:

http://3character.com/priceguide.html

Pricing Guide for 3-Letter (Composed Of Letters Only) Domains:

Current Observed Minimum Wholesale Price (regardless of letter combo) as of February 1, 2008:

3-Letter .com - $6700 (+ $300 since January 1, 2008 report)

But I consider their guide a bit old since they are not taking in consideration the emergenging countries that appreciate other letters and as we have run a poll here several times lately, the majority of people consider the letters U
and W to be Premium letters.

Let`s have a look at some recent LLL.com sales as reported from NameBio.com :

nak.com $27,135 2007-12-22 SEDO.com

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
A trio of sales from the last GreatDomains Auction that as we know since there were so many good names (including CTR.com , DRT.com and of course Pizza.com) got less interest than what they would if they were alone since all auctions ended at the same time.

Anyway here they are, completed and paid:

JFU.com $9,100

DJL.com $10,100

VYI.com $8,000

•••
HLS.com $10,000
TYL.com $11,500

Hls is the bargain of the year at sedo...

Geez! Anyone know if HLS was an auction or an accepted offer?

I'm feeling good about my RYI after seeing VYI go for 8k :)

If you think that was a bargain - you missed the iReit disaster on Afternic, results below:

gvu.com - 500 afternic
svj.com - 500 afternic
pqt.com - 571 afternic
rlu.com - 900 afternic
llj.com - 603 afternic
wja.com - 735 afternic
zli.com - 500 afternic

Geez lol! I thought there was only 5 of them at < $1000 :D

I don't even understand it to be honest... Even if they mistakenly forgot a zero, those prices are still too low. I haven't read the thread on it -- a bit too long, but how the heck did this happen?

I have seen these, but it would not happen at Sedo, and 10k for an all premium from a domainer is.. huh.. hard to get! Recee, i'm quite sure it was not an auction, otherwise the sale price would be double as much.

Those sales were mistakes so it should not be listed in my opinion, as anybody would have offered much more than that if aware.

Instead, this is last completed sale at SEDO:

TXH.com $10,000

So another one with one of the worst letters goes for $10,000.

ID, that has 2 (!) premium letters, wouldn't call it the worst.. Anyway, i think we can safely say anything below 7k is a steal nowdays. We are now closing to 8k bare minimum for any LLL.com.

Yah, I agree. I think we'll easily see 10k min reseller pricing on these by the end of 2008 (if not before)

I think BEFORE, by the end of 2008, we may see anything between $12,000 and $15,000.

SEDO completed sales:

SGN.com $25,001

NCJ.com $10,100

GNP.com - $21,000 - NameJet

SEDO completed sale:

EXF.com $8,100

Ooh, that was a steal! I bet the seller is pretty disappointed with that (after Sedo's commission).

Anyone catch what SEU.com on Sedo ended at?

Thanks John for letting us know, the hardest sales to spot are the ones that happen in the Forums.

BRN.com $21,000 at Sedo D-:

Nothing to be shocked about, that was a nice 3 letter and $8,000 - $10,000 is currently the minimun for the worst ones.

The monthly auction at Great Domains has just finished with some sales, while some other LLL.com did not meet their high reserve price.

As always, I keep thinking that because there are too many sales ending at the same time, bidders are too much spread and because they can`t follow everything, some domains can go cheaper. I really can`t understand why Sedo/GreatDomains does not change their way to do it, like splitting the list in several parts , each one ending 30 minutes later than the previous one.

Anyway, these were the last sales:

TAZ.com $40,000

http://sedo.com/auction/auction_history.php?language=us&auction_id=29677&tracked=&partnerid=

OMA.com 18,500 EUR which is about $33,755 (1.57 exchange rate)

http://sedo.com/auction/auction_detail.php?language=us&auction_id=30522&tracked=&partnerid=

KAA.com $14,000

http://sedo.com/auction/auction_history.php?language=us&auction_id=30486&tracked=&partnerid=

CKI.com $12,500

http://sedo.com/auction/auction_history.php?language=us&auction_id=29974&tracked=&partnerid=

TSJ.com $10,100

http://sedo.com/auction/auction_history.php?language=us&auction_id=29975&tracked=&partnerid=

CUX.com 5,100 EUR which is about $8,007 (1.57 exchange rate)

(big bargain this one in my opinion, probably buyers not confident doing math in the rush while checking other domains?)

http://sedo.com/auction/auction_detail.php?language=us&auction_id=30279&tracked=&partnerid=

WZB.com $7,100

http://sedo.com/auction/auction_history.php?language=us&auction_id=29409&tracked=&partnerid=

Also there was another beauty: MIF.com

But did not meet the reserve.

Just checking its listing page, it shows some other past big sales that we may add to this thread:

POS.com - $250,000.00
ANT.com $241,000.00
AHL.com - $207,000.00
CPC.com - $200,000.00
VIA.com - $157,000.00
NHS.com - $151,000.00
SSM.com - $145,000.00
SPN.com - $120,000.00
OTV.com - $110,000.00
AMT.com - $100,000.00

:gl:

and scrolling past Afternic sales, I just realised, I missed to report this one (edit: I see Spade reported it but at NameJet while it seems it was sold at Afternic?)

GNP.com $21,000

04/17/2008 14 bids

And of course now the buyer which WAS NOT an endusers, wants $199,000,000

http://www.afternic.com/name.php?domain=gnp.com

D-:

These LLL.com keep rising faster than what I thought.

GNP.com went for $21k i think on afternic, now THAT is steal of the year

Gross National Product and host of other financial terms and others

Was on dnjournal today

Interestingly enough - GNP.com sale gives us a decent comparison to .mobi - as GNP.mobi sold not too long back.

21k / 330 - which means if this was reasonably true for all domains - .mobi's value is about 1.5-2% that of the .com

BTW - a clerical error on my part. I put NameJet here, when I meant Afternic.... It was recorded properly in NameBio.com
