Cosmicray, it has been 1 month since Rick acquired Flowers.mobi and here you are biting at his ankles like a bitter, envious little rat. Believe it or not, conceptualization, development & design can take more than 1 month. Plus, it's also his perogative to hold onto Flowers.mobi and flip it to ProFlowers.com or Dean & DeLuca.

Cosmicray, I reread another recent post by you. Why the heck would you light-heartedly lend support for someone buying domains about the racist, Michael Richards? Why do you think this racist saved his career by spewing hate speech??

last month i had some contractors build me a house down the street... i walked down there today and asked why it wasnt ready yet... i mean its been a month and they only have the whole thing built without any appliances inside or anything... my king size bed with 472 thread-count sheets wasnt there either.... and my slippers and pipe wernt sitting at the left side of the door when i walked in.... its just crazy.. when someone starts something i expect it to be done within a few snaps of my fingers... kno what i mean meh?

Hey I not jealous. I admire the king and we all owe

him our gratitude for what he has done and you can

say we are even indebted to him. My main point though

was to highlight how most .mobis held by domainers

will probably go undeveloped and this will affect how

well it will be adopted by the public.

I knew dot mobi was coming 20 years ago from a vision I had.

Thankfully, having ESP I knew well in advance what names I'd end up with so my 1,000,000 plus mobile websites were up and running in less than 1 minute in my vision.

Unfortunately I woke up and I'm back to work trying to get the best developed sites I can muster up as quickly as I can.

Or maybe I can or go a little slower and actually give a lot of thought about things.

Things like the content, networking, software issues, and other small odds and ends like creating a business plan.

I must admit I didn't know every name I was going to get. My ESP is a little spotty.

I sit back and wonder where my web Gnomes have gone as they created spectacular websites instantly.

Now I have to rely on finding competent real human beings and pay them actual cash to build my sites. How rude is that?

if only "I" were a web gnome things would be different...................

Besides dot mobi is so yesterday. I am working hard on developing my dot chip domains. I hope to have them fully developed soon.

I was just informed that the Gnomes are done and my dot chip sites are totally developed. I can now start doing human implants for chip net!

I think an extension with no speculation can't be a good extension.
But too much speculation can kill speculation.
An if mobi is killed on day It will be hard for guys with a lot of .mobi domains !! me for example..

I'm so tired of cosmicray's bashing... err...trolling. Why does NP put up with this sh!t? He's got plenty of other threads to post in elsewhere on NP, why pollute the .MOBI board with his garbage? He's never added anything positive to the .mobi discussion... seems like he's envious that he missed out on .mobi... if he's not envious, then he' simply just plain old bitter. and to all the people who are afraid that .mobi will get abandoned... so what if .mobi dies, I'll still have my portfolio and since I'm building them anyway, there's no reason why all the .mobi owners who have developed their domain can't band together and form their own ecosystem (ebay, myspace). I'm building my .mobis with or without anyone else... I'll get my own userbase and not rely on .mobi being the default extension on mobiles, if that happens... it's a bonus... but my future doesn't rest on that hope. I currently own 1000+ .mobis and each one will be developed using our own turnkey software, so yes: I believe that .mobi has potential, but I'm going to speed up the evolutionary process myself by building a cohesive network and any users I get will hopefully be helping me to promote my sites by word of mouth.

keep in mind, all my sites will be tuned for mobile devices and will also work for PC users... all devices... and no I'm not building adsense farms... fully featured community sites with commerce/content generated by users.

I have to agree. The -ve talk about .mobi is going over the board. Initially I was vocal discussing the technical aspects or in meaningful discussions, though, I went over board once.

Why look far, look our own NP'er Jeremy, who was very active buying names, got into development very quickly and with nice start up: Boing.mobi. That should give some food for thought.
