It happened on 23rd Aug 2022 and this matter lasted almost one month without any process. Masterbucks.com declined my fund withdrawal and disabled the button of fund withdrawal. And I contacted Epik.com and got no further action even if Rob Monster got involved in it for two weeks. All the time I was told in email by management review.

What is wrong with Epik.com? Do you think it is normal to disable fund withdrawal? How can I get back my fund from Epik.com? Thanks for your suggestion.

Epik LLC (Epik.com) has still not detailed the beginning of a solution on how to fully compensate all Masterbucks victims. Until they have fully compensated the victims, it is not wise to do business with this company. They will continue to scam customers. Move your domains out of Epik.com as soon as possible, if you don't want to be duped in the future.

The registrations might have value, but I am not sure how much value the "Epik" brand itself has at this point.
The brand is tainted. Despite that, some domain names will keep renewing.

They probably would have been better off just creating a new brand.
And that will be expensive.

All that might be true, but there is no situation where a company can just use escrow funds as they please. These funds are being held on behalf of another party.

They are not intended to be used for operating expenses, payouts to investors, etc. That is just corporate abuse.
It wasn't even an escrow system. Given that there have been reports to law enforcement agencies, there may be investigations underway.

Yes, the problem is Masterbucks which is probably the primary tool to scam customers was excluded from the asset transfer.

Epik has clearly been planning this scummy move for some time.

Show attachment 239104
It was a liability rather than an asset. Because people equated their Masterbucks balance with real money, they were basically, in very diplomatic terms, giving Epik a free loan.

Once Epik's finances went pear-shaped and registration and renewal fees could not be paid, and confidence in Epik declined, the whole scheme collapsed. Trying to firewall it as a separate company from Epik while already being in debt to Epik customers prior to the formation of any new company may not be possible under US law (I'm not a lawyer). Epik should not be able to evade its obligations to people who lost money in that Masterbucks scheme.

Regards...jmcc

Epik (Wyoming) not to be confused with Epik (Washington) will probably give the same answer as they did to this asset, which was specifically excluded from the asset transfer as well.

Well, we know a complaint has been filed with the Washington AG over Kathleen's transaction, and there might be others.

It was a liability rather than an asset. Because people equated their Masterbucks balance with real money, they were basically, in very diplomatic terms, giving Epik a free loan.
It was not just people equating it was real money, it was Epik themselves making statements to support that for instance having a 1:1 cash value which can be withdrawn at any time.

It was actually included on the list of assets in the transfer going from Epik (Washington) to Epik (Wyoming).

Yeah. But the actual registrant is/was Monster Venture Partners, which is not Epik.

He is the registrant, but it was assigned to Epik Holdings, Inc. That essentially transfers ownership.

Indeed. Got it. Thank you Brad! So, the ownership was just transferred once again, but not reflected @ USPTO...

Yeah, I assume it will take some time to update. That is, if they even submitted the request yet.

As all of you have documented and somehow had the time to write up 299 pages about this rehashing the same thing 80 different ways, we need to focus on domains getting registered, renewed, and maintained. Support requests answered. And building the trust back of the core functions of a registrar: maintaining your trusted assets.

As all of you know, there's a big hole here to dig out of. We have shifted 10 customer support reps to support Epik.com customers starting Monday. We provide backend domain registrar services currently and can flex to as many people as needed to provide better customer service than any other option out there. It will take us some time though to learn Epik.coms software and quirks and obvious business operational problems that aren't normal. Our goal by the end of the week is to have 95% of phone calls answered live. 5% going to voicemail with a call returned in 2 hours or less. All support emails answered within 2 hours.

Our goals for Monday are to re-interview any old Epik Holdings Inc employees that would like to be rehired and that want to help us take care of the clients. Work our way through a long list of vendors and clients and start picking away at making things right. And we will not be accepting crypto as there was obviously massive operational and accounting problems in the current tech stack to properly account for it.

Once we can have domains safe and working well for our clients, we will start working through the in store credits. There's a lot there to work through. We'd appreciate your patience as we try to work through this.

There's a long history here and some weird stuff. Ok, maybe crazy stuff. Businesses make bad decisions all day every day: Montgomery Wards, Sears, JC Penneys, Toys R Us. You can watch hilco auctions to see businesses failing every day. Rob Monster might have made a bunch of bad mistakes, but he worked tirelessly for the last 9 months behind the scenes to make this deal happen and Brian Royce worked nonstop around the clock trying to save Epik and both tried as hard as possible to help as many clients as possible. There were so many problems we can't even begin to organize them into a cohesive postmortem to even attempt at speculating what caused it all. If you truly understood the mess behind the scenes what these two men pulled off is miraculous. And any of your speculation is worthless at this point also. What's important is moving forward and taking care of as many people as possible and trying to make things right for as many people as possible. We're no where close yet, but we're at least in a structure and position to try. There's a long ways to go and we recognize people have been financially hurt. We've very sorry for this, but if you'll give us time as the new Epik.com owners, we're going to try our best to help as many people as possible and right the ship. But it won't be overnight and words don't mean anything, actions will though, but it won't be fixed overnight.

Nothing we can say will fix what happened in the past prior to us, but we hope all of you will give us a shot to earn your trust. A lot of you are rightfully worried about customers not getting screwed. We care about that as well. It will be easier for us to make more people whole if there isn't an exodus of customer moving domains. Amazingly, if you look at the dumpster fire of the last 12 months and all the domains that have left. Epik still has an amazing following that believe in it and what it stands for. Epik still loses half as many domains as a percentage that Namesilo and Namecheap lose and is on par with Godaddy. There's still a very loyal following. And if the money had been there to keep domains renewing, Epik would have had a lot less get transferred out. And as a percentage done way better than Godaddy. We feel pretty confident we'll be back over 800,000 domains under management by the end of the year. We're here because the industry doesn't provide a great solution and we've tried them all and aren't satisfied with what is out there.

It might take awhile to earn your trust back, but we will keep trying, and will update this post next week as we progress.

Thank you for your time and consideration. We're here to help.

Epik LLC

No idea what Amplify.io is, and no idea what Masterbucks is I guess. Whoever the new Epik is, as expected they have no ethics whatsoever.

I missed last few pages.

So, EPIK is sold? To who? Or as usual, unclear?

Epik Holdings Inc. (Washington company) transferred their assets to Epik LLC (Wyoming company) that was created a week ago.

The owner of Epik LLC (Wyoming) is unknown.

They took the assets while excluding many of the debts, especially to customers.

It was a totally above board transaction.

Oh, then "Epik LLC" decided to make a douchey post here. It did not go well.

She probably has the best odds of actually getting paid, because it was the clearest example of a straightforward "escrow" transaction and a complaint has been filed with the Washington AG.

What happened is also very well documented.

However, that is still not a guarantee.

Masterbucks was excluded from the asset transfer, so it is likely all those customers are the designated bag holders.

It is new guys, they are posting on Twitter from beepik account. They're just serious idiots. Either he is lazy and dumb and didn't bother to look at what Royce has been doing or doesn't see a problem with it. Or it is Royce.
Well, things are moving quickly. I'm away for half a day and Adkisson gets paid and someone who apparently is Epik LLC has visited this forum. That's a surprise. Anyway, if they have offered to help Elon out then they are clearly Royce. If not, there is some chance they're not. Whether they're any better though, we'll have to wait and see.

I have reported the account for impersonation. There is no proof this is actually "Epik".

Even if it actually is, the account really would need to be restricted and posts manually approved after 9+ months of silence.

No one here is going to deal with some BS when it comes to self-promotion, deflecting blame, or congratulatory posts related to successfully screwing over so many people.

Brad
Exactly.

No PRO user should be celebrating Epik for this clusterfuck. Rob could have explained what was going on but didn't. Also, I don't understand how Rob and Brian were saving Epik, when Epik tweeted this.

Epik 2.0 didn't work. It will be Epik 3.0.

If Epik LLC are serious and planning to stay in business, including hosting business, as a very minimum they should transfer their main domain name "epik.com" away from its current registrar "Epik Inc." to some other registrar ASAP:

https://www.icann.org/en/accredited-registrars?page=1&iana-number=617&view-all=true

I was somewhat surprised after checking whois - the domain is not yet transferred, nor is it pending transfer away from Epik Inc.

At this time, ICANN did not yet close the compliance notice or change the IANA 617 registrar details to Epik LLC, so the outcome of this process is not yet known. Should ICANN elect to terminate the accreditation agreement instead of accepting the change of WA-based "Epik Inc" to WY-based "Epik LLC", all epik-regged domain names may become unmanageable (temporary), so any and all critical domains should better be transferred away in the meantime...

What? They took over the entire website. Why would they transfer out of their own registrar? In other news, they should definitely transfer out like everyone else should. This help us get back to 700K domains so we can pay everyone back stuff doesn't fly. They just forked out $5M to cover up Epik crimes so they can afford to ay everyone back.

How about they pay everyone back this week or else we continue to rek.
