How to scare a type2 diabetic.
At about 9pm last night...a blood sugar reading of 332...
First time I had a reading that was at or above 300.
Calls into doctor, got reply back...
Basically, since I was okay in all respects...told to just watch it carefully and monitor myself.
So just monitored readings for about 2 hours...
kept dropping each reading until i was down to 199.
Up this morning....been basically up and about ever since about 7am...
Feeling good, little to no pain....
As I was told, take it easy, take it slow....and watch myself.

Personally not sure which is scarier. "sugars too high or too low"

Did the doctor suggests any way to lower sugar...like dry toasr with peanut butter?

Note, I am not a diabetic but live with a T1D ( type 1 diabetic) and sugars levels are read differently in Canada!

Whether high or low sugars, I am guessing it is what you are used to overcoming.
Myself, since last February is has been not to worry about highs at all.
But to keep the bottom low but not too low.
So highs always get me wanting to know what the hell happened and how to stop it.
Easiest way is medications, but damn, that gets a bit expensive at times and who want to always medicate.
Lows I know what to do and what not to do, so I tend to keep the levels for me at 100 or so.
Level 1's have my sympathy....to have to have insulin on hand at all times and ready to inject is to me a pain in the ass.
I still argue for diabetic supplies to be FREE for all diabetics....hell we give free meds to drug users, who do the damage to themselves by themselves.
Heck, look at the schools, the police depts., emts, med clinics and hospitals that keep epipens on hand at all times ready to save the life of some druggy! For free!!
Same with all cancer drugs and treatments.

Note that "dry toast and peanut butter" is suggested when T1D sugars are low..when low, take orange/apple juice to bring sugars up suddenly..then around 15 minutes later give "Toast/peanut butter" to help stabilize sugar..OJ can really spike sugar..note was told about this tip from a diabetic doctor who know the T1D in my life doesnt have peanut allergies.
