Hi everyone! The 3D market appears to be exploding! Record takes at the box office by movies such as Avatar and Alice in Wonderland and the announcement this week of the new 3D TV which is set to hit markets shortly have helped buoy interest in 3D multimedia platforms. Even the major American television network NBC has jumped in and will be broadcasting the NCAA Final Four basketball games in 3D!

A direct beneficiary from this renewed interest and greatly improved 3D technology is the domain business. Some of you had foresight many years ago and reg'd great names early on. Others (myself included) have only become aquainted with 3D domaining more recently, but see the huge potential this market has opened up for domainers.

Let this be the place for you to show off your 3D domain names. Ask for opinions, marketing strategies or even an appraisal or guesstimation of value. Also, feel free to post any relevant news releases/articles related to the 3D industry.

Sorry to hear the sale fell through Giles, better luck next time. I havent bought many 3d domains but the ones I have I am pretty happy with. I've decided to test the water with a few for auction at Bido too, didn't take long to get the required votes either. Don't be sorry. Surely we are all mature enough to handle a few adult domain names here and there. Personally i find porn terribly boring. It fascinates me why some "adults" are troubled by porn but will sit down and watch action packed violent movies. If you were listing animal cruelty, child abuse or vilolent content i would be up in arms. Thank you for sharing your sales with us. Not many would or do so.

i think its better to put a wordpress blog on your domain....rather then redirecting the domain to wordpress.com

Opalxx, we do have young domainers on the main board--some in high school or even younger--so it's best that we keep this main 3D thread clean.



I realize kids these days are far too savvy about these matters, but despite that we should be role models to them. When they come of age, then they can make their own decisions.

I, too, am bothered by violent movies, etc.

There are a few good 3D domains coming up in the aftermarket; keep your eyes open.
