I knew he had to go the hospital the other day for seizures or something to the effect that I had heard on the news. But now it has been confirmed to why he has had the seizures. He has been diagnosed with a brain tumor.
They said tests conducted after the seizure showed a tumor in Kennedy's left parietal lobe. Preliminary results from a biopsy of the brain identified the cause of the seizure as a malignant glioma, they said.

His treatment will be decided after more tests but the usual course includes combinations of radiation and chemotherapy.

Senator Kennedy is the 2nd longest serving senator and his term will end in 2012.
Were he to resign or die in office, state law requires a special election for the seat no sooner than 145 days and no later than 160 days after the vacancy occurs

It is is sad but on the other side of the medal, they finally found out what caused his seizures.....i hope he will get the right treatment and he will get back to normal....76 is not an age to" expire" and, he has so much strenght....my prayers go out to him, he is a fighter and i believe he will be on our planet until he is 115 years old(especially because america needs him) :)

Go Ted, go !!!!!

Yup if only if he could live to 115 years old. They tumor is inoperable and the Docs gave him like 1 to 3 years at the most to live.

True and....i know he won't get 115....but..there are well covered cases of survivors who suffered/got diagnosed with uncureable sorts of cancer and they survived...sure, that's not the standard....but it is possible, just with will power(yeah, don't apply that to me, i am not even able to quit smoking....weak freak i am)

And....let's hope that the technology keeps up the pace it has done in the last 5 years (think about nanobots)....

Cheers,

Frank
