By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

So complacent, so very complacent and lazy they have become that I have 3 names there just for a presence now. I use Bodis and escrow dot com and buyer pays the fees. Escrow does not gouge the buyer like sedo likes to...

Has anyone tried sedomls system for cctlds?
I added some, i do not see any exposure at all at partner registrars, so the only difference from "Buy Now" is that the fee is 20% instead of 10%?
Tried some .com, seems to work fine

I think it is great you are here to answer Sedo questions. There are a lot of Sedo users at this forum.

I do not park my names at Sedo anymore because others are paying more. But my experiences with Sedo have always been favorable.

When I did park my names at Sedo I sold a lot of domain names from your parking landing pages. The auction choice is a great way to get higher prices on some names and to know that you are getting a fair price.

I also had buyers use Sedo to broker sales and received very generous offers – (which were accepted).

The Sedo parking program is good for some people but for those trying to earn a monthly income from parking there are better paying options. The standards for Sedo Pro seem higher then a lot of people can qualify or I think more people would try it.

My account is closed without any reason, and I send an asking letter without any reply. I opened another account and then it was been closed soon. I was disapointed and had transfered my domains to dopa.com already.:zzz:

Sedo doesn't close any account without reason. There are many things which Sedo can improve but i know that they only close accounts from people who click on the ads from their own pages (or tell friends to that),,or when they bid on several names and don't pay, or other violations of their rules.

Dear Sir or Madam,

My account is 'tenthginknightnet', email add is [email protected]. It was closed by your team this afternoon. I really can't apprehand why you did that. It takes me more than a month to park all our 260 or so domains, though some of them are still failed parking. I tried my best to dispray them on http://mydomains or http://www.mydomains , but some curious ones firmly refused to do so. I used to puzzling why they could only be visitted on http://sedoparking.com/mydomain. So I tried to delete one of them and add it again to find if it will be displayed on http://mydomains or not. If I got a positive answer, I am going to delete all those domains failed parking and reset them. Upon this progress, you closed my account without a warning word.

I don't find out anything else I 've done violating the rules and terms.
Please kindly resurvey my account and reopen it.

In those days, I checked my domains now and again, and seldom click ads unless I really feel it interesting. Now I do nothing to their parking sites at Dopa.com and find the clicks is the same as at SEDO, if not more. I needn't do any optimising job though.

You just admitted why your account was closed. You're visiting your parked domains and clicking the ads. That's a big NO NO.

Also Sedo and other parking companies close accounts if they believe the parked domains are receiving bot/fake traffic.

Days of April 2, 3 and 4 is Chinese Festival, so we can see the Unique Views between them is extraordinarily low.
I remember that I find an interesting Jobfinder site and register an account, write a resume and send it. This will be NO? Anyone else could be customer except me? I can't understand it.

even if you "find them interesting (lol)", you are not allowed to click (even ONE time) on ads of your own parked page.

there is really no discussion needed here. you violated their terms and they kicked you out. simple as that.

You have to understand what the issue with parked pages are.

Parked pages are ONLY for Type in traffic WITHOUT any "help" from you. You are not allowed to do anything to "help" someone to go to your parked page and click. Advertisers are only interested in GENUINE type in traffic and REAL interested people to buy their products. And only THEN they like to pay for the clicks. They are NOT interested to pay you 1 Dollar for NOTHING per click

Has anyone ever had an incredibly large amount of offer views on their domains listed at sedo?
I've got one domain in particularly that consistently gets 25-30 offer views per month. Some of my other, better names get maybe 15-30 offer views/month max. One domain listed at the top of the "Top Domains" section with over 100 past offers has 98 offer views in the last 31 days which is a lot, but mine shows 869.

Here's some screenshots for proof of what i'm talking about. Last month I had close to 3,000 offer views on the same name. I'm in no way trying to "show off" or anything, it just seems very odd to be happening with this one name..

A couple of mine have been in the 50 - 100 sales page views per month range. Perhaps there has been an improvement in search???
