By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

SEDO minimum fee?

I have a quick question about auctioning on sedo. If I were to put my reserve price a $0 and my highest bid is below their minimum fee, do I actually have to pay them the difference?

example: my highest bid only makes it to $20 and sedo has a minimum fee of $50. Do i actually have to pay out of my own pocket $30 and give it to sedo.com?

Depending on the type of auction, minimum bid is $60 or $100, no reserve doesn't actually mean that somebody can bid $1 there.

Oh wow, what a nice day indeed. I lowered my reserve price to zero and now my domain has been accepted in the great domains auction. Will this practically guarantee a buyer? Is the minimum bid $100 since it is great domains auction? Thanks for swift response

Awesome! Congrats on getting the domain accepted. Hopefully it results in a sale, but, nothing is guaranteed. There are auctions that don't receive any bids.

Sedo upgraded the interface. Works great now and more user friendly.

What is the best way of selling domains at sedo?

Should I put a price with the Buy Nowoption or should I just use the Make an Offer option?

With the Buy Now option, how can I price the domains properly? I'm sure everyone wants to get $XX,XXX for every domain. I do too But how can I make the domains sellable and still get a good profit?

In Sedo's new parking statistics page, I do a search on "yesterdays biggest earners". Predictably it shows the domains that got the most unique traffic. But it also pulls up a bunch of domains with '0' unique views.... so why are those included? Did they get some other kind of traffic? Glitch? What's the deal ??

How to deactivate SedoMLS? In my Sedo acct, my domains are make offer but when
I use dynadot to search my domains, it listed a price I previously set.

Me too, I actually asked about that on their FB wall and sent email. Same with total Uniques/Earnings. The totals on the bottom are gone after one of their last "upgrades".
