By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

Questions, comments, suggestions, tips are welcome! We're hoping this will be a great discussion about what works at Sedo and what might not (please be constructive and respectful to others in your feedback) so that everyone involved can benefit and learn from it.

Finally, the sale/transaction has been canceled at sedo, but the only way to get quick action was to call sedo directly.

I then called up the non-paying bidder, seems there was a paypal issue, we agreed on a new price ( took off the commission I was supposed to give you guys ) and the transaction is now in progress. Payment expected within 72hrs. via Wire Transfer.

Now why did it take me like 5 min. to reach this guy and get answers yet you people at sedo couldnt reach him in days... its like magic, pick up the phone and poof your questions are answered.

Turned out I knew the buyer in the end, have sold names to him in the past.

Hi,

We are currently looking to whether we will be able transfer these domains using our system. We are also looking into whether or not we are able to use our parking program on .tel domains. I do not have a date relating to when we will be able allow the .tel extension to be entered into our database. Our customers will be informed if and when we do so.

Hi all:

I know that this has probably been addressed previously in this thread, but I have a really quick question. Thanks in advance for your help.

I always seem to have long delays in Sedo "verifying ownership" of added domains even though I change nameservers prior to adding, and my whois info on the domains agree with my sedo registration.

As the domain is not verified, I am unable to do any optimization on the parked page. And, even though Sedo hasn't "verified" ownership, the domain already resolves to a Sedo parked page.

My question. Who gets any revenue from clicks on this parked page prior to it being verified? Me or Sedo? Maybe this is why the verification process takes so long - even a few extra pennies to them over millions of domains could add up.

Just wondering.

I know that Stephanie answered this for you, but I will add that it does seem to take extra time to get names approved if you try to add a domain name that was already listed at Sedo and was not deleted by the previous owner. Also it seems that some cctld's can take longer. If you are worried about it taking too long, you can always email them when you notice it is taking a while, before they email you about it.

I can't seem to remove my minimum price on a domain, I can put it up or down but whatever I do I can't delete it.

Must be a glitch in the system because I checked on another domain and it has done that same thing. Can you get the techies to fix it please ?

I looked around, but can't find an answer to my question, so I'll ask it here...

I have a domain at sedo that has registered a nice number of uniques recently.
426 uniques in about 20 days but zero clicks.

I can see from the stats which terms are bringing the traffic, but not the source of the traffic. Does sedo provide this info, and I'm just missing it? I may have to move this domain to another parking company just to see where the traffic is coming from. I'm afraid it might all be from bots, but I have no idea.

I think you can only see that kind of data if you have a sedopro account, although this would have to be confirmed by someone who has one.

The regular account only provides stats for the country of origin.

Sedo offer this info to members of SedoPro. It should appear on the Domain Details page, which can be found by clicking the Show Details button on the Domain List page.

I have some domains at sedo. I swear at some point I see earnings .xx for some clicks and then a few days later go back to see earnings .xx-x

Same thing I thought I saw over and over again. Is sedo's parking system cheating? or not working at all.

Anyone else have the same experience?

I am thinking to move all my domains out of sedo.

This feature is only available to SedoPro members. Also, our parking program will filter out most bot traffic. However, if you are concerned, you can send us an inquiry or PM with your account information and I will be able to look into for you.

Why do you charge members higher fees for not having their domains pointed at the Sedo servers?
Is it just an easy way to scam a quick buck out of people who don't read over your TOS with a fine tooth comb.
I recently sold my first and last domain through you guys for $60 bucks. Due to the nameservers not being pointed at Sedo I made $10 you made $50
Care to respond to this?

Thanks for the reply stephanie, I was questioning if sedo parking is working correctly ie. the stats?

Because it look like some of the payout per clicks on my domain names changes within a few days. I was hoping that some other members would have insight into this.

recently i bought one .by domain name with Sedo. It`s my first experience buying domain with Sedo so i have few questions:
1. Is it necessary to request invoice from seller to start the transfer of the domain name?
2. Where i can find technical assistent info? And who is a technical assistent?
3. What are the next steps to transfer domain?
I asked these questions to my transfer agent but i did not receive an answer. My login is pibbz, domain name is aromat.by.

1. No.... An invoice is usually requested for tax purposes. This can be requested at any time after the sale is concluded as you cannot be given an invoice for something that has not been received yet.

2. A technical assistant is usually someone who does not own the domain but will usually have access to the domain. Example, the IT guy at a large company.
You will not need a technical assistant if you are purchasing for yourself.

3. This depends where you are in the transfer. If you have just paid for the domain, sedo will contact the seller and have them push the domain to them.
Once they have received the domain they will pay the seller and then contact you requesting details of your account at the registrar that the domain is going to be either transferred or pushed.

When they have your details they will either push the domain - which is virtually instant, or they will ask you to initiate a transfer by supplying you with the EPP code.
Depending on the registrar, the transfer can take between 7-10days.

Hi Stephanie,

For some time I have been unable to sort "Unique Views" and "Clicks" in descending order.

When I access "Domain Management" the view is alpha order with totals alongside each name, and totals down the bottom. However, when I click the arrows to "sort", the totals remain but each domain name shows zero views and zero clicks.

To give you a better idea I have attached two screenshots

Fig 1 shows what appears when I access Domain Management "My Overview"

Fig 2 shows what happens when I sort (using the arrows) The name at the top should show around 128

I have blanked out the names - just left the first letter.

Look forward to your response and a resolution.
