By request, we've decided to start a thread dedicated to Sedo. We're looking for invaluable insight into what domainers want and need out of our parking program (and marketplace, of course).

I would also like to know is something being done about the poor conversion rate in ppc in sedo i love the program alot but the click through is terrible compared to namedrive and other programs. I sell alot of names via sedo it would be great if i could park there also and keep my eggs in one basket but at the moment the parking is not up to scratch.

six months back i added few domains to sedo and use autosurf on them. at that time i dont know its iligel. then they closed my account.

after that i tryed to create a new account and add the same domains which i used in previous account. again they closed my account.

then i create my 3rd account and did not add those domains, and my account is active now.

but the problem is i need to add those domains to my current sedo account. because there ae some LLLL.com, CCC.com and some rare domains which have potencial value. but i fear to add those domains.

also i mixed up those banned domains with my other domains, so im fear to add my other domains also. because if i add 1 of those banned domains by a misstake, i will make the road to ban my entire domain portfolio and loss lots of money.

can anyone help me to add those banned domains to sedo?

if it cant, tell me how to sort my banned domains and other domains, which is posible to use sedo

I just don't know why sedo is so slow to make transaction done now. Buyer already sent payment to sedo and sedo already got the payment for few days. But I still don't receive the email from sedo for push info.

I will look into this for you. From looking at the list, however, it appears as though the domains listed are premium TLDs. Judging by that, it is more than likely reserved for higher quality top domains. I will see if I can get further information from our marketing team regarding this list and get back to you.

This issue is something that our Quality Management team is responsible for. I would recommend adding the domains into your new Sedo account, and if you are having trouble adding them into your new account, please contact us and we will put you in touch with the appropriate representative who will assist you with your account.

If we apply pop-unders to a name and it does not get enough traffic to earn a penny a day, will it add up over multiple days? For example, if a name is only getting 5-10 visitors and maybe makes $.003 a day. Will that name earn a penny every three days or should the pop-unders just be turned off in that case?

I did receive an answer to this question. In case anyone is wondering, the pop-under earnings are cumulative, meaning a name making half a cent a day would earn a penny about every two days, and the name in the example above would earn a penny about every three days. Not much, but still an improvement if a name is getting 0 clicks.

Dear SEDO:

I have a suggestion. As it is now, I get multiple notices that I have received an offer for a domain name. The problem is that your 2nd, 3rd... notices do not say that this is a reminder that an offer was made. So, I have no idea if it is a new offer or your persistent notices of an older offer. You should put in the subject of the message for these subsequent reminders, the word "Reminder:" so that I know I can ignore it. It seems that every day I get these emails and I have to continually log in top your extremely slow site just to see that no, it was not for a new offer, but yet another email on an old offer I didn't care to spend 3-4 minutes following up on.

I just got a reminder. The wording was "We write to remind you of the offer that was recently submitted for domain xxxx"

This proves they are listening to the board.

1. somebody has to bid, THEN you can push to auction.

2. you can ask to list your domain to PREMIUM auction, if your domain is good enough.

Here's a useful tip:

You may consider re-optimizing your domains landing pages if you feel your click through rate is unsatisfactory. You may also try using more specific or relevant keywords for your domain names.

You can also view the statistical information for your domain names when determining the most effective keywords. You may view the statistical information for any of your domains via the “Domain Parking” > “Statistics” area of your account. Once in that section, click on the “i” button located to the left of the parked domain that you would like to view the statistics for. On that page you be able to see where the traffic is coming from, if available, as well as the search queries done through the search box on your domain’s landing page.

I would assume also for DotAsia domains specifically, that they are not as prone to type-in traffic as a .Com and .Net TLD.

To get an auction started for your domains, you may wait until an offer is placed on a domain listed in your account. Once you have received an offer for any of your domains, you will be presented with the option to start an auction within 5 days of receiving an offer. The auction will run approximately until 7 days after the initial offer was placed.

The original buyer’s offer will be used as your reserve price, and should no higher bids be received, the domain will be sold for that amount. However, as auctions raise the level of competition for domain names, you may very well receive higher bids.
