I wonder if there is any connection between sav.com and saw.com, looks like both of them are almost identical, deal in the same industry and in some areas they compete....it's such a shortage of domain names that you can't create a better brand?

I don't think they are identical at all. Sav is a registrar, these are brokers/marketplace.

"Saw.com provides domain acquisition services, domain sales services, and domain portfolio management services."

Furthermore, Sav probably comes from "save" instead. Sav is positioning itself as the low cost registrar in the market.

And I think the brand is just right.

Almost identical as how it sounds and how it looks. It's like epik and epic. Also, both of them have brokers and marketplaces, both of them have the same customers( domainers as sellers and end users as buyers). Also, sav is not short for save.

Well perhaps they can comment and enlighten us here.

@Larry - Funds are available for new sellers 5 days after the domain is delivered to the buyer. Please contact support about the start_time message. We are not aware of any issue with this but it seems like something needs to be adjusted on our end.

@Broker - We are not affiliated with saw.com

A General PSA:
When an issue does come up, please submit a support ticket to [email protected] and DM us the ticket number & your email so we can look into it right away. We are unable to look into any issues posted directly in this thread as we do not have a way to access your Sav account based off your NP username.

Thanks Nick. Describe "new sellers" if you would and the parameters/guidelines to graduate beyond that. And also, if you would, what those have moved beyond that label should expect in time to fund availability.

Many Thanks

I'm having bad issues with nameservers. About 3K names cannot be updated by no means, including api, bulk update and manual / individual update. API says success but the nameservers are unchanged.

If I enter the domain dns section it says "DNS is still being setup for your domain. If you just registered this domain, please check back in about 5 minutes."

However these has been registered weeks ago.

I have sent email to [email protected] but so far no response so I don't have a ticket number.

Please assist.

Thanks

I'm having issues all the time with Sav as certain domains cannot be registered, although they are free (irrespective of the tld). It says "Unsuccessful Items From Your Cart". Trying again doesn't work as the situation is a stubborn one. So in such case I simply use a different registrar to register the domain.

Anyway. It is annoying of course - but I'm not going to create any drama right now.

My point is, to a few other NP members here:

If you're so upset about Sav, why do you continue using them?

I can even answer that for you, the reason is simple: Price. You're using Sav cause it has the lowest price. Yet you expect great support for that. I'm sorry but this is always the case: You get what you pay for.

If you haven't figured out this already: Sav is a low-cost registrar. Like everything else in life, this also comes with pros and cons.

Support is likely small and overstretched right now, because it simply is. In such low-cost domain registrations you don't make money if you have top-notch support added, but losses.

So support will be slow and technical issues can occur. With time, they can improve. Right now with the tech updates errors can be even more prominent and more of them. So what you need is right now is, read my words here: Patience.

Side note, their aftermarket choices are also tailored on their need to make money after registration and feed the balance sheet, as it appears to me they don't make any money from our registrations, but the contrary. And a registrar that is losing money is not one you want to be with.

I'm really sorry for everyone that has bad issues with Sav. I have issues too.

But the point is, either realize right now they are a low cost registrar and this comes with certain issues, OR use a different one - with a better(Edit: and faster) support and service, but obviously at a different cost. For now at least, it is what it is. A lot of complaining and drama doesn't help you at this stage.

Patience is needed. If you don't have it, perhaps Sav is not the right choice for you.

I've had tech projects of significant magnitude in the past so I know the drill. With time, they will improve if users give them enough time to fix the problems. Or not - but that is to be seen, in time. So again, patience is key. Feedback will also work over time and steer them in the right direction but this cannot happen overnight with such a large number of issues.

Just my 2 cents...
I feel the same way, I always had few issues here and there but waited patiently but it's understandable for people that have spe

Same issue here, can't change any nameserver and some domains showing a new nameserver is still pointing to the old ones. Hope they will fix it sooner or later

@Larry - Note the last FAQ here: https://www.sav.com/domains/sell

@twiki - I do see your DM from this afternoon and see your ticket in support queue as well. We will ensure to take a look at it tomorrow morning.

@xeroox - I DM'd you as well, but apologize about this and do not know why it has not been looked at yet. I just sent it to an agent to look at first thing tomorrow.

@Future Sensors - Hello! How can we help?

- Hello! How can we help?[/USER]

Greetings. For my business, I'm evaluating registrars all the time. Sav got my special attention because of the really extensive banner campaign here on namepros in every single thread. After reading experiences from your loyal customers in this thread I was wondering why it takes such a long time to fix core issues.

A quick update on a few issues:

Domain Renewals - There were intermittent issues with domains renewing but their updated renewal dates not reflecting in the front end. This has been corrected and dates are being updated over the next fews hours.

Nameserver Changes - We are seeing some intermittent issues with NS changes not going through. After reviewing the logs, we see these are just some one domain specific issues. We are working to get these corrected and re-processed over the next 48 hours.

Support Tickets - It looks like a good deal of tickets we have are just confusion on how the new domain manager works. We are actively tracking things we can make more clear and making daily pushes to make things more user-friendly (IE: Both active and expired domains now show in the the domain manager vs having to change the filter before). We are currently looking at about a 2 business day resolution time right now but hope that we can eliminate a lot of the common questions with UI changes this week to get us back to a 1 business day resolution time.

@Future Sensors - We do appreciate the concern. While I would love to tell that Sav.com is flawless in every way, we are powered by people, people can make mistakes and intermittent bugs do happen. Over the last two or so weeks, we have rolled out an entirely new domain backend and domain manager that did have some un-caught bugs in it. We rapidly fixed all the core issues and provided daily updates to NP if not more frequent. As of this writing, there are only one-off domain specific issues remaining and we try to be very transparent on those.

Once we finishing resolving the one-offs, we will be re-vamping our testing process from the ground up in the coming weeks to prevent this happening again.

I would encourage you to try Sav out and feel free to DM me if I can help in any way.

Expanding support to handle both Chat and Phone is something we will be working on soon.

I'm still having 3600 "one-domain"s right now not going through.
