Hi all,

Since December 16th, the old Domainsponsor Pubman moved to the new one. Ok, i have used all the time the old one, until that time.
My question is, how can i switch to the former templates like Atlas and Titan? I have choosen those ones in the Domain Settings allready. Because from 16th December on i have on all Domains templates which convert very bad. My clicks are cut by about half, and the RPC also cut by about a half since Demcember 16th.

Now that DS is merged with rook i think that we can post here things..
I've seen too that DS is no more accessible and the layout is changed. From the actual site i see that all my domains have changed their templates to the blueblack one and they have lost all the manual related search i've placed.
Result : really bad revenues for this period.
My AM told me that all would be backup like before.. i'm waiting tomorrow for contacting him and solve.

All the DS uresrs have seen this?

We have an account with Domainsponsor for 10+ years, originally set by Ron Sheridan who is no more with DS for a long time.... During these years it has been proven that DS team (under any management) is often unable to perform system upgrades correctly. What happens now seems to be a perfect example. Just logged-in to the new "improved" system and found that all previously carefully set related searches are gone. They are still somewhere in the system though, since for example 2-click landers do show more-or-less correct related searches in the left column of a parking page, and auto-genereated "nonsense" in the main part. What, are we now supposed to re-submit the correct configuration for each domain, as if we have no more productive things to do? Why was the techs team unable to correctly import everything to a new system?

Furthermore, the new system does not seem to offer an opportunity to set different related links for different languages, something that we actively used before. Of course, revenue $$$ both for us and for DS are now like a joke.

Well, after DS was acquired by rockmedia earlier this year, and our account manager James Tulpin leaved the company (cannot remember an exact sequence of these unforunate evenets), DS promtly set our account to probably the lowest payout %%% as month-to-month stats clearly showed. For a few months, they likely carefully decreased payouts, assuming that we would not notice. Well, we did and most of our domains were moved away from DS even before the latest "upgrade". Some are still with DS, making some pocket money just to keep an account active, as we were expecting improvements under new management. Is seems that now is a perfect moment to remove all remaining domains ...

Its really bad that no one at Domainsponsor is answering, and its also bad that the new pubman seems to be a testing platform!
I am using the new pubman since 16th of December. Since that time, my portfolio is making in whole about 7$ a Day. Before that, on the old pubman, it was making at least 35$ a Day!
I can still not change the Template on any Domain. I have changed some of my templates on 16th of December, but there are still only some blue and black, which perform very bad for me.

Domainsponsor was always best for me, i hope it will change to the positive in the future

When D.S. shut down their overseas offices that James Tuplin, Joerg Schnermann and staff (btw, they were easily some of the best people in the industry who truly cared about clients) were working at things quickly went down hill. All the overseas office accounts were gifted to Henry Hsu (apparently a green thumb in the industry) who worked directly under Dwayne Walker. Then the first wave of account bans started happening.

People who were making more than $5k a month seemed to be losing their accounts (being closed/suspended) at D.S. with no explanation. These were members accounts that had very few chargebacks and were with D.S. for years. When questioning D.S. these people were told that advertising partners had complained and wanted charge backs or that Google all of a sudden didn't like the quality.

Now if that wasn't bad enough the account rep that everyone got "Henry Hsu" was new to the business and had to deal with an onslaught of new people and high profile clients which he had never interacted with before. Within a week of being transferred to Henry accounts started being closed. (not saying he was responsible for the closures)

At the point of the account closures, rumors were spread that D.S. might be selling off (which is apparently what happened) because they were purchased by Rookmedia. Well you can bet that Oversee.net (D.S.) needed to have a little extra money in the account to pad numbers for the sale of the company. So what better way to pad numbers than to close accounts and blame the upstream providers.

With all that being said, when Rook took over I am pretty sure ( i could be 100% wrong though) that they reset everyone's rev shares to the lowest possible.

Once again, after reading all the different forums about Rook taking over D.S. , after reading the threads above, after seeing and experiencing things first hand, this is the conclusion I have come to. This is why I tell people that if you are going to park your domains stick to companies like Bodis.com or Voodoo.com


I can say without a shadow of a doubt that Bodis & Voodoo are the best in the industry. I wish that other companies practiced the same Customer Service and Honesty that Donny Simonton and Matt Wegrzyn express . I have always gotten honest feedback and no B.S. from these guys and their representatives. This is why I put my $xxx,xxx.xx per month, in parking, with them instead of others. They don't treat me as a lower class citizen and they never have. They have, since day one of my career, treated me with 100% respect and honesty.

So now you get a deeper look into the industry. One last thing to think about; why is it that Matt & Donny are the only owners of parking companies that interact with it's members? I never see the owners, managers, account execs, etc, ever interacting with people.

Protect your investment, park with people who will treat you right.

(Btw, This is all my own opinion. I am basing my comments on things I have read, seen, & experienced over the years. I'm not compensated for my opinions and they are strictly my own. )

Many of my old DS domains are doing much better at Rook since the latest DS "upgrade". I've kept some at Domainsponsor that are performing better after updating the landing page template and related keywords, but it has been a lot of work to update all of these domains.
The new DS titan and atlas templates are not doing well for me. These used to do very well in the old DS system but they messed with the layout and it has produced lower CTR.

Hi Smurge, I am surprised that you are so gung-ho on Voodoo. I have found them to be just OK for non-US traffic but I have done much better with Rook for US traffic and ParkingCrew for euro traffic. Maybe I am missing something but I generally have lower RPMs with Voodoo.

I've noticed people have better experiences at different places. I don't park somewhere just because they pay me a little more than somewhere else. I park with people who are willing to work with me and treat me like a normal person. If i submit a customer support ticket it's typically answered within a few minutes to a few hours at Voodoo & Bodis. Where as I've waited months at places like Rook, D.S., P.C., and more.

I'll give you a perfect example: When i was D.S. (prior to Rook buying), I loved my account rep James Tuplin and Joreg. If I had an issue they would help me with it and they always responded to my questions in less than 24 hours. So what does D.S. do? They close down the office and stick us with an account manager that never responded to a single email, skype , etc. I sent to him in 2 plus months. It also seems that this trend has continued at D.S./Rook as this is being reported on every domain forum post i've read. I don't know about you but I like being able to run my business and keep in contact with the individuals that control my lively hood.

Also with Voodoo & Bodis, I'm told honestly what is wrong with my accounts versus trying to guess. Everyone has bad traffic because we all buy domains that drop/expire. The difference is, if I park them at Voodoo or Bodis, they are honest and tell me that those domains are garbage and I'm able to remove them where other companies will just ban your entire account because you didn't know.

So you are absolutely right that I prefer companies like Voodoo & Bodis. I prefer companies that will work with me and communicate with me. I like companies that treat me as a human rather than a #. If other companies copied their approach to handling clients I can promise you the parking industry would be a thousand times better and we would all make more money in the long run.

Once again, I want to stress that this is just my opinion.
