AfternicAfternic
imedic/net
- sold for $515 Afternic, BIN, fast-transfer
- Reg. $11.17 (GoDaddy, after finding it on expireddomains.net)
- Hold time 6 months.
{A month ago there was a $250 offer, from Singapore's IP, through Efty landing page; was listed for $575 on Efty landing page, and for $844 on Afternic at that time. I counter offered $450, without response.}
Screenshots just for info, won't post it again I guess, they occupy too much space...

Wanted to share my first five figure sale with you fine folks:

Screenshot_20200416-154208_Email - Edited.jpg

Asking price: $28,500
Sale price: $31,350 over 24 installments (includes 10% markup)
Commission: $3,990
Purchase price: PM me if interested
Hold time: 13 months

This name had received quite a lot of interest in the year that I owned it, including a $4.5K offer and a $5K offer from two separate parties.

Pricing the name proved to be a great learning experience for me, and I'd like to thank @bmugford and @Dave for discussing it with me and helping to give me some confidence in my valuation abilities.

In the end the sale came about thanks to an email forwarding technique discussed here: https://www.namepros.com/threads/an-email.1163416/#post-7500058. Thank you to @Zilla for that.

Thanks also to the entire NamePros community. It continues to be a wonderful place to learn the industry and grow as an investor.

Congrats on the sale @Joe Nichols. I am not surprised it sold for that price range.

It is an excellent domain name, and probably even better with the distance learning going on in the world at the moment.

Thanks for the shout-out. I am glad the discussion we had was helpful.

Landed my first Afternic sale, which is also my first 4-figure sale ever. I will chalk up this sale due to COVID-19. I would have priced this one higher if I had actually remembered that I had it. This was one of my experimental purchases as I started learning about purposely selling domain names and was going to drop this one by the renew time.

Domain Name: h/a/n/d/d/e/s/i/n/f/e/k/t/i/o/n/(.com)
Sale price: $1,288
Commission: $257.70
Purchase price: $9
Hold time: 9 months

You're right about not doubting the price. I'm just greedy for the most part. :xf.laugh:

Since I haven't received that stimulus check yet in the US, this sale came right on time.

I appreciate the kind words!

You're getting good results with outbound, so how many leads you contacted for getting this sale? Also, did you highlight any benefit (like search+ cpc metrics or branding value) for getting this sale?

Regards

Around 10 leads with 2 follow ups. I didn't mention any benefit, just that it was for sale with purchase link
