This thread is a central location to report domain name sales or purchases of any dollar amount, however the difference between this thread and main thread is that certain information can be obscured to protect the identity of the buyer/seller.

Please include as much information as you can about the transaction, but at a bare minimum please include some of letters/words of the domain name(s) and the sale price.

All sales in this thread cannot be verified, so take anything you see here with a pinch of salt.

If you have COMPLETE sales info to share, please post in this thread instead:
https://www.namepros.com/threads/report-completed-domain-name-sales-here.83628/

As only very limited information is required, please include as much as you can voluntarily. Only report sales you, yourself (or your company) have sold.

1. Only one sale can be posted per member per 24 hours period.
2.Domain name must include at least 1 letter for a short string of masked characters or 2 letters for long string. Use common sense for determining what is short/long.

Ideally show 1 word out of 2. See above examples.

Please ensure you provide as much information as you possibly can, the community may able to still benefit by identifying trends in domain names, sales prices, outbound/inbound and other useful details.

Do not post in this thread if you disagree with its existence. Please post here:

The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
No sales can be verified if we don't know the domain name, why have a thread like this at all?

Several reasons:

1. Posting a domain which has no privacy protection can and may be harvested by other domainers, web hosting and development companies who may spam your buyer.

2. Your buyer is your lead, you may value their repeat business.

3. You can still provide useful information to the community, by providing as much information about how the sale occurred, domain trends, prices etc.

4. Some people may interpret someone posting a sale here as boasting, I think everyone who has worked hard to make a sale should be allowed to receive some appreciation from their colleagues.

Just wondering, why you spoke at length with their solicitor, do they want to file UDRP on you or what?
It could be great too if you could share your knowledge about Intellectual Property Law on the blog here at Namepros...

I weigh in at times when it comes to UDRP, TM, and IP negotiations. Wether people listen, that's up to them :).

I'm not a lawyer, but have negotiated countless IP contracts and domain transactions over the years.

I spoke to their solicitor because he was the companies point of contact that handled IP/TM issues. They wanted a lower price ($500) because they believed that the domain was theirs through 'use in commerce' of a TM.

I presented a rebuttal, we discussed a price, and were able to come to a fair conclusion.

Many times I will be redirected to a TM/IP specialist who is knowledgable about domain names and specifically UDRP proceedings. If you are to get a good price on a transaction, and be taken seriously, you must be able to demonstrate that you are knowledgable in these fields as well.

Google is your best friend. I never call unless they call me first. I have gotten most of my sales through phone conversations first though.
