Rebel.com warning

Transfered my 6 domains away from Rebel.com a month ago or so. Even though the domains are not with Rebel.com any more, Rebel.com tries to charge my credit card for every domain come renewal time. And for some reason all the domains still show up on my Rebel.com account.

I thought rebel.com was only useful for those .sucks domains. They're the cheapest reseller of them. The Vox Populi sells them at the same price but rebel said somewhere they do privacy protection and the main Vox Populi website doesn't mention it and their company won't answer emails asking about it.

I was tempted to buy one of those domains for a site but then I got worried that if Vox realizes I picked a nice name that they forgot to charge $2500 a year for, they'll jack up the price. So I got wary of those domains. The higher prices keeps the scalpers away but Vox Populi itself acts as the scalper and holds a lot of really popular ones hostage preventing anyone from developing it. Basically every politician and controversial issue Vox has reserved the domain themselves and either have basically a crude comment form on the site or it's just empty.
