So far, in the 2019 Namescon auction, there are a total of 335 domains currently in the auction list.

Of those, there are only 6 8 new gTLD domains.

Actually it is not even an extension.

It's a private subdomain managed by CentralNic.

I looked for entertainment and newyork.pizza has $100k-$200k reserve. If you weren't on drugs I can't see how you wouldn't baulk at that pricing. Maybe there is no intention to sell, I don't know

ny.taxi (just) is the only positive on the list. If you did have a good keyword gTLD worth listing as it would stick out among............. rubbish

So they don't accept gtld names that have premium renewals, but they will offer them at auction for over 100k? Wow

Yes, many of the domains are ultra premium with ultra premium prices. It has been shown that an approximate $2,500 - $3,000 sales price, is where the action is at.

500k - 1mm domains could be purchased any time if a buyer has the money and wants the domain.

Namescon auction would be great and probably would get more bidders and new domain investors if the names were in a more affordable range. imo

That doesn't make much sense. Seems more like wishful thinking.
Virtually all the popular sites they use are .COM.

Don't get me wrong, these are some amazing domains. But they could maybe do a separate auction for great lower priced names.

With the money they spend on the event, they could sell so many more names. Maybe have some categories including new gtlds.

Not sure if that's even possible to have more New gTLD names. The "premium" ones renewal cost more than my new car and the limit for submitted names is $75 as mentioned in their TOS.

I also am amazed they ask people to submit on a website that is not https. Bob

25% commission and they are broke to pay hundred bucks for SSL certificates.

I also find disturbing the fact that they force you to redirect your DNS to ParkingCrew and in my understanding, if you refuse, they won't even consider your domains.

Explanation:

this helps us choose what names go into the pre-bidding process and helps to increase value and improves chances of selling the domains. Why would you not be interested in that?

I think that is based mainly on traffic of which most ngtld get very little so that's a non starter.
