PayPal's Buyer-unfavorable dispute resolution/claim process & credit card chargeback

Problem: Web hosting company provides unacceptable service so a claim is filed with Paypal. Paypal's User Agreement does not cover items that are not physically shipped, so Buyer automatically loses the claim.

The only recourse left is to do a charge back through the credit card company as the payment was made through Paypal via credit card.

Question: Will a CC charge back after losing a claim put the Buyer's Paypal account in jeopardy?

Your input/experience is appreciated.

I just went through this mate well similar

a buyer got code from me, then did a CC chargeback on me, even though he had the code up and running, paypal wouldnt side with me,

after 3 months of pounding at paypal and the customer i got this

Dear XXXXXXXX, We are pleased to inform you that we have successfully disputed chargebackcase #PP-409-296-263. The buyer's card issuer has decided in your favor and within seven days you will receive reimbursement for $150,00 USD. It is PayPal's standard practice to dispute wrongful chargebacks. now paypal did nothing, they told me to go whistle, i personally tracked this guy down, called his local police station and filled a complaint, then i contacted his CC company with every bit of documention i could, i called his CC company and they were brilliant, took all my email and msn convo's and listened to me,

they then contacted paypal and issued the refund, paypal said it was all them, bollox it was all me, so bottom line, how much do you think the host is preperd to go?

if you've been done wrong use your protection rights, thats why there in place, just like me you should persue this until you get what believe is right and fair.

yes and no, paypal will take the funds out of his account, that could put him in a minus figure if so, unless he pays it paypal will send the collectors after him, if it doesnt put him in a minus, then no it wont hurt him.

Winning a battle with Paypal will always jeopardize the account. Saying, "I hate paypal" when you lie asleep in bed will jeopardize the account. Just THINKING about contacting Paypal with a problem will jeopardize the account.

Paypal is absolutely useless. I try to avoid them as much as I can using whatever means necessary... Too bad so many people love them to death (one can only guess as to why).

technically it is against paypal's policy to do credit card chargebacks.... and thats 100% serious.. no joke here.

but, i have done it recently for low $x,xxx and nothing happened to my account... however i have heard of many situations, especially in the early early days of paypal, where people have done this and had their paypal account suspended indefinitely.
