I thought I better get one or two more names out of registerfly
so I initiated a transfer through godaddy...
went to registerfly and unlocked it - whois showed my information...
then I get an email from godaddy confirming the email being
sent regarding a transfer is going to xxx@xxx
which is obviously not me...
this is what the whois is showing on all my domains there that I have
checked so far...of course...it's just the ones I am attempting to transfer

(info removed) contact made - thanks to Kamloop's great detective work!

Now comes the problem...THEY'VE LOCKED IT FOR 60 DAYS!!!!
What the H*ll am I supposed to do now?
it expires on the 18th?

What a bunch of sorry ass crooks!

Make screen prints of everything you can. I started pulling out of RF last summer when I found their database corrupt with names not in my account, my names with different owners listed, and name in my account that weren't mine. I would imagine it will only get worse now that they are all but dead.

Thanks for the reminder...I just took some :red:

I'm waiting to hear back from Godaddy, when they sent me
the email about the transfer, it said I can still initiate the
transfer after I change the email, but regfly won't let it go,
yet whois shows status: ok ... my other .net has the other
persons information on the whois so I took a screen shot of that
as well. But I did change the email back to mine.

I was hoping ICANN would have had this cleared up by now or
I would have moved them sooner....

Hello, I am starting my own investigation into registerfly. People that think that they can just rip everyone off and get away with it are very wrong.
The more I look the more conspiracy I see!
Is there any other email addresses showing in your account please PM me with details.
Its time to nail these scum and start building again on a non corrupted foundation. or we are all screwed.
Please reply by private message only for security we are dealing with ruthless people here.

Well the whois info is incorrect, the street looked familar and the twon Kelowna is in BC Canada 2 hrs from me.

I did a phonebook lookup and got this

I would call him - hope this helps you!

Nice work!
Yep, kelowna 45 mins from me. I saw the US number so never
thought to check the address
I'll call him tomorrow and see what he has to say
he could be just another victim. or not!

Contact RegisterFly and GoDaddy, and explain what happened. That should help get you started on a course of action.

And the drama continues with RF. Shall we keep holding our breathe that ICANN is actually going to do something about people losing domains to RF's incompetence?

I haven't contacted registerfly, I'm still waiting on a response
from 2 tickets - first one being April 9th (about another issue)

Godaddy is looking into it for me - I guess to see if they
can maybe do something - how the whois changed without a
60 day delay to this guys information is baffeling.

and of course, so far no response from the whois mentioned above.
But I work beside a phone and dialing is a habit - and I have the
patience to keep calling - I'm curious to see what his response will be...

I'll give him the benefit of the doubt for the moment -that he is
also another victim of registerfly caught in the web!
I just wish he'd answer his phone :D

Any chance ICANN will have all names left at Regfly pushed to another registrar?

RF will never respond to your tickets. I've had some open for months without any response.

Thank you Kamloops, with the info you provided I was
able to finally reach him.
He is also a victim of regfly, triple c/c billings but no renewals done - now one of his domains sits expired and down since Feb.
he has also been bombarded with transfer requests for a ton of domains he does not own. Including mine.
He was very helpful and willing to help with the transfers if I can figure
out a way past it. Unfortunately yesterday when I changed the whois - it locked it...
so now I have to pray godaddy can help ....

Best of luck with that one... I'd suggest trying Moniker. They have been much more helpful to me when I've been in a squeeze.

I like moniker too, but godaddy was successful in getting the last
transfer out with no problems...
unfortunately I have not heard back from them, and I can't reinitiate the
transfer on my own - it says it's in "incorrect status" hopefully they
are working on it.

I just checked the whois and I see that registerfly has put this other
guys info back on it with a new email address that is not associated
to the previous one - man they suck!

Moniker has a bug in the transfer system. It will give an error message, but if you check the whios, the domain will be in transfer status. If you have an executive account rep at GD, you have a fighting chance, otherwise you are up sh*t creek.

I've lost a lotta domains thanks to RegFly. 'tis my fault, though. I should have moved them long ago, as was my intention :|
