Today, I read the latest postings on just two important tech blogs: TechCrunch and NewTeeVee.

Between the two blogs, the following .tvs were mentioned in the latest 5-7 posts:

StockRockets.tv
Reality.tv
Tripr.tv
LX.tv
Justin.tv
Ustream.tv
Blog.tv

Of course this was an abnormal day, but that is *crazy*. Beyond that, I saw one .net domain and everything else was .com.

ps. Of course, .tv is going to be a total failure and never hope to achieve anything so you should immediately sell me your premium .tvs for $10

lol

Certainly seeing a patttern of .tvs getting higher and higher % of coverage of vcs chasing them in the race for the next big you tube star - gigaom, newteevee, mashable, techcrunch - its undenyable......

it also explains the relatively low prices .tv are fetching NOW..........we are simply ahead of the curve, most of the above blogs cover new sites/technologies coming to market and will only become household names in two/three years time..........

much rather be here in the first month of 2008 selling some names at low prices, then buying in 2010 at market value....

I think the "low" prices now (in terms of domainers not making much money) can be explained by the high renewal prices, people can easily buy at retail prices from the registrar (which is making most of the money). The incentive to pay beyond that is low, even with dramatically higher usage levels.

Well, that is one way to look at it. Even if it's true right now, "dramatically higher usage levels" mean higher demand, and there is a limited, albeit rather large, supply at the registrar. And of course, we will be ready to meet the growing demand when the supply runs low and/or the choices are inadequate. Especially those of us who have snagged top notch .TVs at standard or bargain renewal pricing. Thus, as Millers stated, we are ahead of the curve.
See Snoop? We all agree! Yay .TV! :)
