    @namesilo,
I have domain, I decided to renewal it and just after I paid the renewal I noted the domain was already registered until 20.02.2021 and I just added to it 1 more year.
So, I just went to history order and cancelled the last order. Last order is the last payment only.
The domain inmediatly desapeared from my account.
I contacted the support just 5 min after I saw the domain was gone.
The say I cancel the domain and I cant get it back.
So, they stole my already paid until 20.02.2021 domain and .. and thats all...
I cancelled the last order which was "domain renewal", and I never removed the domain..
And I contacted the support in less than 5 min after I saw the domain was gone..
But they dont put it back into my account and someone named Dani just was repeating as parrot my domain was gone..

If the system is not so good and remove the domain after cancel the last order, its not my problem.
The point is I had a domain and I paid it for 1 year more.
The I paid it again and then cancelled the 2nd renewal only.
And if you remove the domain it is your problem..
And if I contact you inmediatly asking where is my domain, you had to pput it back and fix your system.
Last order is last payment, and not my domain.
Finally you took my money and stole my domain

They specifically warn you that if you cancel a renewal that the domain will deleted from your account. There is a warning prior to executing the refund/delete

There is a pop-up or other disclaimer. I do it all the time - and see the warning every time.

Last order is last payment..they cant just remove my already paid domain if I cancel just last order..
Lets see you pay insurance for you car and suddenly you pay attentioonyou already paid it and then you cancel the payment..
And.. and they tell you have no any insurance anymore... but you already paid before and had it for 1 year...

Remove your attachments or blur to a greater degree - I can see the names in question.

I'm confused and a bit worried. I have all my domains at namesilo with no renewal as I regularly do transfers to save money. does namesilo just take domains from you account if there is no renewal? I don't experience that. usually the domain goes into "expired (grace)" phase then "expired (restore) phase.

when is my domain in jeopardy of being "taken" if I don't have auto renew set up?

it seems their system is not good..
its not normal to cancel the domain when you trying to cancel just the last order.
and yes, i also just made transfer for 8 domains and after years at namesilo I am not sure I want to keep them here.
they removed it, it is not expired..
they said me "reg it in 30 days"..
first at all, I already paid for this domain for 1 year.. and canceled last order had to mean just remove additional year..
next time their system will remove one of my domains which bring me income and will ruin me all my business..

@mayazir, Contact their support (to different person), if you aren't happy then submit complaint to ICANN

i never faced issues at namesilo in last 7 years...

I also never had any issue with namesilo before..
it is my first problem there, and as I see this is very serious problem..
ok, its not the domain of great value, but I have at namesiloa few of my domains which I use for websites which bring me from 4 to 5k monthly and if something like this would happend to those domains?
they removed my domain, so its not the issue of "ok I pay quickly extra fee for expired domain"..
if something like this would happendto my other domain, it would ruin all my business..
it has no any logic to remove the domain just because I cancelled the additional renewal...

i will wait @namesilo answer and if i dontget my domain back, I report this issue to icann..

It's hard to understand exactly what happened, but from what I can understand, he paid an extra year of renewal, he changed his mind and canceled, but renewals are non refundable, so basicly they see it as a charge back and for this reason, they cancel all the services related to that order. Namesilo can correct me if I'm wrong, but if it's true, this is the way it was done for years and it's the same at most registrars.

No, the domain was paid until 20.02.2021 (still 1 year)
I transfered a few domains to namesilo and decided to renewal a few ones I already had on namesilo.
I paid renewal of 2 domains, and then I paid attention one of two domains was already paid until 2021 and was no need to renewal it again. But I by mistake paid one more renewal and now it was paid until 20.02.2022.
So, I just canceled my last order.
The domain was paid until 20.02.2022 and I added 1 more year and then removed it.

If I cancel a payment at Namesilo, for example an unintended auto-renewal, it does warn me that doing that will cancel the domain registration and I won't be able to get it back.

What I have always understood, but not seen confirmed properly anywhere, is that cancelling/deleting a domain is irrevocable - once you hit the cancel/delete button you cannot get it back. Is that set by ICANN?

In another GD thread we found that if you cancel a domain at GD, they let you undo the cancellation for about 30 days. Not sure how to interpret that - is cancellation revokable, or do they just delay initiating it for 30 days?

Also my understanding has been that cancelled domains just drop - they don't and can't go into registrar marketplaces of expired domains.

Would be nice to have more definitive info on this.

Does the particular registry (verisign for com/net, another registry for other extensions) offer refunds for renewals (an opportunity to undo renewals)? This is the question here. If NameSilo have / had an opportunity to reverse the things - then it is what one would expect from them in this scenario. If, however, they paid the registry and the payment was final - then it should be clarified what exact service they offer with "cancel renewal order" functionality.

That's the idea, even if it was renewed for 5 years already, in the moment you cancel a renewal means that they will pay it from their own money, so they treat it as charge back, because if you read their TOS, they say that renewals are non refundable.

    I canceled the order.
Namesilo told me once I could cancel the order and get refund, and it was what I did.
I paid for "1 year more" and then canceled "1 year more"..
So, they got money for 2020-2021 renewal and removed my domain.
And I contacted them inmediatly, and not after a week or a month

No, because if I reg a domain and then I cancel the order, I get money back, I have 72 hours to cancel and get refund.
Why in this case namesilo let me get refund if they have to pay for that "bought and removed" domain ?
I paid and in 3 min canceled the payment and in 5 min more I contacted their support.
total 8 min from the moment I bought additional year for the domain

Doesn't matter how long it took to contact them, in the second you cancel a non-refundable order, the system will cancel all the other services related to that order and drop the domain, it's automatically, as far as I know, so they can't do anything after that second.

    Its not my problem..
They told me once, I could cancel the order within 72 hours..
I canceled the order and the order was last payment for 2 domains renewal.
I repeat, its not my problem if their system works automatically and do some more functions I never asked for.

"All domain renewal cancellations, other than certain automatic renewals, will result in your domain being deleted and placed into the redemption period at the registry. This means that you will not be able to renew the domain with us without paying for a restoration, or possibly not at all. If you have time remaining on your registration it will be sacrificed in total when receiving a renewal refund"

It's not about doing more functions, they can't get their money back for renewals, so they will loose money. If you read their small print, it will say exactly this, that you loose everything related to that order.
