.tv Mass Acceptance Of Dot Tv

This is a voting thread, so please vote!!! Its one way to get a quick feel for how soon .TV will emerge with mass eposure.

MASS EXPOSURE is a very broad and very subjective term .

Ingrediants could include examples such as

1. driving to work everyday and at least hearing one commercial on the radio for a .TV site,
2. when watching TV, at least one commercial for .TV every night,
3. billboards with the .TV on them scattered all over the place
4......at least three of your circle of friends have their own .TV address or know of the .TV ext..................

The list is endless and very SUBJECTIVE

THE BIG QUESTION - WHICH YEAR? 2009,2010,2011, or NEVER!!!!!!.

I would have included 2012 aswell, but there are only four option!!! Sorry Bill Gates!!

2007 & 2008 I think everyone agrees is way too early....

well since they were unable to meet the 2006 deadline for the digital mandate of all television from analog to digital, and had to move it to 2009. 2009 would be my bet. I tried to vote but it says the poll is closed.

Right now the poll, which never opened ...is closed!!!! ....but in my opening remarks, I said that as there were only four options, one of which would be that it will never really be huge (you have to make room for the naysayers aswell as to be impartial ) I was left with three options........and thus I think most would agree that 2007 is not the year for MASS eposure, I would be sitting on a million bucks if that were the case...2008 again I think it will be alot more widespread and everyone will have heard of .TV.....but the businesses will need to all have come on board by then.........again, I just dont think that 2008 will do it.............

THIS IS OFCOURSE JMO.......since the poll is anyway not working GH, just post if you think it will be 07 or 08.....I pray it does happen that quick!!

Not sure about "shaking" but at least it is already shaking the .com ultra conservatists, so for the rest of the world, quitely and surely the .tv in 2009 will be mature and visible everywhere.

Sorry to tip the scale, but Millers you asked when we would see "Mass Exposure" and I would say closer to 2011 for "Mass Exposure." Until then, every year will be better than the previous.

I think another thing to remember is how hard and fast youtube became popular (2yrs from nothing to billions).
And now we have Apple coming out with this TV adaptor box for $300.
All these things are directly positive on .tv

If Bud.tv gets a buzz, and Demand Media begins a push, we could see big things in Q3 or Q4 of 2008...

i'd say it's happening now .. and these additional big company projects will just push it over the top ... it's never going to overcome .com, so i'm not sure what your expectations are, but it will have quite an impact.

my selection would be Q4 2007 or 2008 if there were options. 3-4 years is an eternity when it comes to the web, hell i regged my first .tv over 5 years ago and have slowly but surely have been seeing it adapt.
