I registered a domain name in the plural version of an existing website.

The keywords are not US trademarked in singular or plural.

If I contact the Company with the singular version offering my domain for sale am I cybersquatting or putting myself at risk?

Advice appreciated.

Thanks

I personally would'nt risk it, sit back and enjoy any traffic and let them come to you if interested.
If they have had the domain long before you it may be seen as registered in bad faith with would not do you any favours :td: JMO - Not really a legal one.

Thanks Gazzip, you're always very helpful. NPs on the way.

I wanted to be sure on this matter cuz I just had an offer on this Domain of $350.00. I guess its best to take the offer in this case.

It was a three word .com with little traffic.

Thanks again.

Thanks, wait and hear some other NP's views before you sell as there does seem to be some excellent knowledge here on legal issues, mine was more of a personal opinion. :)

How do you know that? Trademarks don't have to be registered if one is using
the word/s actively in commerce, and trademarks aren't restricted to the US
alone.

Thats a great point, if you have ads on the site, you will be in big legal trouble.

Ads are merely one piece to the puzzle, and are not sufficient to answer the question either way.

As far as the TM goes: chances are if you have heard of this company by its "given" name, it's a TM in practice (For details see any # of the threads in the law forum, or http://www.dnlaw.info ).
