Hi everybody,

I was wondering as I'm not an English native speaker, which is the best for the word diamond in a domain name, singular or plural version?
I have the domain BeyondDiamond.com and the plural version BeyondDiamonds.com is taken, so I'de want to know is mine is correct and have any value.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts

I think in your example the plural is better than the singular. I understand immediately what the plural means, whereas the singular seems quite quirky. But there are many cases where the singular might be better than the plural, insurance.com and insurances.com, for example.

Thank you stub for your input. Is that means the singular one in this example is worthless?

Estibot (not a reliable price estimator, but as an example) values BeyondDiamonds.com at $45 with the .com/.net taken and 7.4k SERP Data, and BeyondDiamond.com at $90, nothing registered, and $46.8k SERP Data. But when you hover over the SERP Data for both it says it cannot find any SERP Data.

I cannot explain why the SERP Data and value would be greater for the singular, unless there is a growing trend for these keywords.

Yes. It would be my opinion that the singular would be worthless. Obviously you have just registered this domain. I don't know GoDaddy's policies about refunds. But I would try to ask them for a refund, since it is less than 5 days since registration.

This is a prime example of a noob mistake. You should not be registering any domain until you know what you are doing. I would suggest reading NamePros for 3-6 months before registering any domains.

Of course. I have no idea if "Beyond Diamond" is a trending hot keyword. But everything points to it not being hot. IMHO.

Hmm stub? What about collegegirl + keyword.com or collegegirl + keyword.com? Which one is a winner?

Plural is better. Beyond a single diamond insnt to too appealing.

Huge domains owns the other. Which means not even an enduser onto the better version.

Good one to move on from

Also could be dropping the "the" and going baseball chat, etc. Good Luck

I assume you mean the singular and plural. I think the plural is much more valuable than the singular, but I wouldn't put much value in most 3 keyword domains. There may be exceptions, but I don't think "college girls keyword" would be one of them. If it was properly developed with wide appeal you could possibly make it more valuable. But IMHO. It would be an uphill struggle. It wouldn't be inherently valuable.

Product domains: plural usually better than singular
Service domains: singular usually better than plural

simple as that, exceptions only confirm this

Ok well what if that keyword was VR and just VR?

I'd say they would both be worth about the same. There is a valuation thread here on NamePros if you want to get a domain valuation.

Then how do you classify words such note(s) for example? Services or products? Which is better then to say Nomade Notes or Nomade Note? Switch notes or switch note? I'm a bit confused!

The plural is better. BeyondDiamond makes no sense in english.
