The L-L-L market has definitely dropped substantially - even in the last 3 months. Earlier this year triple-premium L-L-L.com's were tough to find under $50, but now I routinely grab them for under $15. I have had a good amount of overall success with L-L-L's, but so far only in the .COM arena.
What I've decided to do, now that there are a few unregistered ones floating around, meaning the buyout hasn't quite held, is weed out a majority of my nonpremium names and just focus on the ones that are most likely to appeal to end users. Of course, as we've seen, any combination can appeal to the right end user, but I've just got to play the odds, because I can't afford to keep it all. But ignoring the buyout and the domainer reseller market for now seems to be the best way. Gradually the others will be bought up again (it wouldn't take too much, as there aren't thousands available to register anyway), at which point all the better for my then lean, mean L-L-L.com portfolio...

And speaking of which, I've dropped the price on my L-L-L.com sale down to $80 for the set of 20!

Dave, sorry but since you keep spamming this thread with your sale I must chime in. Why would anyone buy this set of 20 when you have pretty much just admitted you will be dropping them anyway? Honestly, l-l-l's with x,z,y,v are not worth renewing right now (i'm even giving away or dropping better ones). I agree with you that sticking to the 'premium' ones and not paying attention to the buyout is the best idea if you are going to continue to hold l-l-l.coms. Good luck with your sale..

Go back a page or two in this thread and you'll see that I'm hardly the only one mentioning (or "spamming," if you wish) their sales... :|

I'm offering them up for sale because if someone's interested in any of them, it's certainly a lot easier (and cheaper, depending on your methods) than buying them on the drop. And just because they're not my best domains doesn't mean that someone else might not see value in them -- they're mostly double-premiums, no X-Q-Z.coms in the bunch. At $4 each, currently, not a bad deal at all, if even one of them sells to an end user at some point.

I agree with Nicedomains not that anyone is spamming but if someone says they are dropping, there is no sense buying as no one will be looking to pick up for the drop. They will all drop just like the 380 available.

The reason for owning these has not changed since the thread first started. You now just have to wonder with LLL.com more affordable will they just not sell ?

Will we eventually see 5000 available ? if so it will just be luck whoever made a sale not from there is no supply. Again IMO

I'm renewing most of mine that have double letters plus "x" or "y" and trip premiums...hell, I'm even buying a few trips or words here and there. The real question, as always, is whether you want to hold for a while for development (New Wave Games ;)) or possible end user. In my limited view prices are depressed in this space for the time being with similar names dropped regularly.
