They might mixed up 22.500.-$ as 225.-$ 👻

I've had that before with an international buyer.

They said yes to $120,000... and meant $120 because they use commas ad decimal places in some parts of the world.

To avoid this I always write my pricing without commas.

Hope this converts for you.

lol I noticed that too Mike. you put 22.500.
That's a DOT right? not a comma? lol so.....$22 dollars and 50 cents?

or perhaps it's in Rupiah?

22500 Rupiah = 1.64 Dollars wonk wonk wonk lol

Better luck next time buddy. Sorry man. but hey crossing my fingers for yah buddy.

It is possible, but if not sold; sedo will ban the bidder

not 100% sure when and how sedo bans buyer... some markets give one strike etc.. some just plain ask nonpayers to pay penalty (usually sedo commission fee or such).... and then let them be etc etc... in the end each market can do as they plz with non payers... as long as according to terms i supose.

either way... ban or not.. often brand new members.. are either unaware of fineprint and rules and what happens if they do not pay.. and many simply do not care about them.. or bans. which results in many unpaid sales.. probably 90% of which come from new or newish members... frustrating i know... but we all been there. cheers.

I'm 99.99% sure that the buyer won't pay $22,500 after your $14,000 counter offer.

Looks like another fake offer/sale type of domain promotion thread. Lots of people here will do anything to get their domain "in your head" as the OP said. Desperation man... Highly doubt the "buyer" will follow through.

Hello, something similar also had in the past, but the good thing is that modern e-commerce platforms are fully accounting managed and the Sedo online system hasn't debited M.E.' account for their 15% fee.
On the other hand it seems from the comments, that online platforms also should improve some of the client UX features regarding decimal conventions varying through different standards intl.

Just wanted to note (not sure if I already did elsewhere) that all of my scam "sales" were on Uniregistry. These were people offering insane bids on make offers or people offering extremely high amounts on names that had BIN/make offer of small amounts like $688.

I only followed up on a few and they were all the "certificate scam" types. I have since removed all my Uni landers and gone back to Dan or Afternic.

Call me old fashioned but there has to be finality in any sales transaction before you can say the word sold.

It's like saying you got laid because you got a woman's phone number.

Indo people do not consider last 3 zeros in their country.

I mean, if you go to any market there and ask the price, if they have a pair of shoes listed for 500000 rupiah, they will tell you 500. They will totally ignore last 3 zeros.

Thats how they deal in their country.

Maybe the buyer was a young kid who thought the rest of the world also works the same way.

Anyways, but maybe nexusm means something in their language. You may be able to sell the domain in mid to high XXX.

Best of luck and stay safe!
