The views expressed on this page by users and staff are their own, not those of NamePros.
How are these people able to bid over $10k without verification, hope your deal goes thru, but most Indonesia offers seem to be confused surfers.

I had a $2500000 offer before christmas.

Yep...I had a 5,000,000 offer for a name not long ago (name is worth 25 grand at most at full retail)...the clown gave me all his real data in the initial offer. Told me he thought it would get my attention if he made a crazy offer. I've been thinking of ordering a few hundred pizzas in his name to be delivered to his business just to see if I can get HIS attention. Not gonna do it due to the difficulty an expense it would cause the pizza shop but it is fun to think about. I hope your offer is real and it goes thru...please let us know what happens.

I think, May be the buyer thought its 225.00 not 22500 . Sedo use dot (. ) instead of comma , but in asia dot represent decimal.

Regardless of they will pay or not. You should not post on the details here until the money is in your bank.
Sometimes Google is your enemy.

will they pay?

No.

Additionally, what a stupid negotiation.

They offer $100 and then $300. You counter $14K.
They offer $250 (less than their original offer). You counter $22,500 ($8,500 higher than your original counter offer). They accept.

This is obviously a complete waste of time. The domain is also not "sold" until the money actually changes hands.

idk, I said yes til I read your scenario, now I wonder if he thought you were coming down from $300 to $225. He might've not seen the zeros. lol. I hope that all that is right in the universe you get the sale, but we will have to see.

No way they will pay. I have had a bunch of these weirdos this past month or so. Very frustrating.

I don't even think they are scammers, but rather confused or idiots.

They might mixed up 22.500.-$ as 225.-$ 👻

I've had that before with an international buyer.

They said yes to $120,000... and meant $120 because they use commas ad decimal places in some parts of the world.

To avoid this I always write my pricing without commas.

Hope this converts for you.

Just wanted to note (not sure if I already did elsewhere) that all of my scam "sales" were on Uniregistry. These were people offering insane bids on make offers or people offering extremely high amounts on names that had BIN/make offer of small amounts like $688.

I only followed up on a few and they were all the "certificate scam" types. I have since removed all my Uni landers and gone back to Dan or Afternic.

Congratulations Michael. It was nice to include the buyers negotiating prices to show others how some buyers will offer low bids a few times before taking you serious and pay close to the asking price. Time will tell if they pay up....

Don't waste your time with the offers like that, I have experienced through some domains.

I recieved today from Indonesia as well, buyer accepted BIN, no payment yet:

I used to have similar cancelled transactions from Thailand and Burkina Faso where buyer never paid (low - mid XXXX).

@Sedo, this seems like a scam that needs to be filtered out. I already raised this topic here, but no response from Sedo.
The worst thing is that your domain is excluded from Marketplace during this scammy transactions.

22500 Rupiah = 1.64 Dollars wonk wonk wonk lol

Better luck next time buddy. Sorry man. but hey crossing my fingers for yah buddy.

Call me old fashioned but there has to be finality in any sales transaction before you can say the word sold.

It's like saying you got laid because you got a woman's phone number.

Isn't verification only needed to bid on public auctions?

You would know when you countered , as I highlighted in red, with 14K, that they were not serious because, who refuses to 14K then add 8.5K and accept? Doest make sense.

This is the most stupid negotiation I've ever seen. the buyer won't pay. not a chance.

not likely to pay. imo.
sometimes they confuse currencies etc. new members are tricky to pay. either sedo or gd. or even on np! :)

expect the worst, hope for the best!
