This isn't suppose to be a religious discussion, just quite an interesting article.

So next time you forget to get someone a christmas present, inform them that Jesus was actually born in June and they can expect to receive something then (hopefully by that time they will have forgotten anyway).

Yep a commonly held misbelief. I still love the Christmas holiday though.

To be honest, the exact date isn't really that important, it is more what Christmas is suppose to symbolise that is (Although much of that is forgotten through it being so commercial).

Religious texts indicate that Mary was on her way to the census (in Bethlehem) during the festival of lights (Hanukkah) when Jesus was born. This is why his birth is estimated to be the 25th.

actually no one knows, since that day shepherds are out in the street with their sheeps you can't tend sheeps they will die in the cold. it's made that way, one of the mysteries. It's hidden from men.

There isn't even any evidence of Jesus existing at all. The only place Jesus was mentioned was in the Bible and if that's enough evidence then everything in Harry Potter is true as well.
