opinion Is it time to sell, buy or hold LLLL.coms?

Seeing the recent rise in values of LLLL.com domains, here is a question that I think some of the others would also be having :

Is it the right time to flip your already owned LLLL.com at this price?
Or
Hold it for future so as to have a higher ROI?
Or
Buy it at this price because you think it is going to sell for even higher prices in the near or far future?

Your opinions about their pricing lately??

Simply because there are 3 options: Prices continue going up, prices stabilize, or prices go down. 2/3 those options don't make me money.
We also have to factor in

1) How likely is each option ?
2) What is the potential risk / reward in each case ? (High rewards may make slim chances worth investing in)
3) What is the opportunity cost ? Perhaps there is an even better investing opportunity !

I bought up a bunch of LLLL.com's during the last craze a few years ago... Then the bubble burst, and I ended up letting a bunch drop because they were worth about $13-18 a piece. It's all a cycle. IMO, don't break your bank "investing" in these unless you have a plan to develop them.

Well if you have 5 to 20 domains. Then you can develop and its good idea. What about 200+. How can i develope them all.

Did anyone notice market of 4 Letter domains are getting cool down again. I closely monitor the activities of 4L market. Yesterday 9 4L domains sold on godaddy auction under $60 which is bad for domain investors because they have to hold down again for the right time to come back. Like others I'm also worried because i have huge investment in 4L .com's. But I'll hold for the right time and whatever the circumstances will be . I'll face but will not make any mistake to sell domains at low cost like i did before.

That doesn't necessarily mean you could have made an outstanding profit on these names.

$1 purchase, $9 renewal (2010), $9, $9, $9, $9, $9 = $55 to hold from 2009.

Granted, the ones not sought by the Chinese do sell for ~$75/pc, that's a $20 profit per name over 5 years in an uncertain market. It wouldn't have been wise at that time to scoop anything up en mass. Having known what you do now, and taking it back 6 years (I think CD's and savings do better than that), buying 5000 of these would be a fantastic purchase. Though, you don't own a time machine.

Sometimes you have to take risks, and some risks just aren't worth it. I don't think anyone foresaw LLLL's without a,e,i,o,u,v going for what they do now ($350-$7500), otherwise, people would have dumped their 401k's into them. Instead, I'm sure most took the wiser path and profited from 2009 until now with what they knew would sell, instead of spending all their capital then, to work off their debt to profit immensely now.

Hello,

I will continue flip all my "bad" ones and keep the better ones for possible end-users.

Every domain name that you're referring to at those prices have one or more a,e,i,o,u,v in them. Otherwise, they're at a $85* low (good buy).

Search for CCCC's and ignore V's.

In my Opinion Flipping is the Best Option.

Please step aside, let me push the panic button :xf.grin:

I have tried buying some outside forums, and let me tell you it is not easy. once we the LLLL flippers run out of supplies, expect price rise even more.

i dont have any at the moment
but will buy if a bargain

one thing really solid for L,LL,LLL,LLLL,LLLLL is that it's the only niche woking for every language, every culture
they apply for a 1.4 billion population country
and also a dying south America tribe
26*26*26*26 isnt a big number for the whole world

I am selling, I like some other niches and since I bought most of my 4L's at basement bargain pricing I am ready to take those profits from the value of premium 4L's today and move them into other niches and domain types.

I'm not selling all of them as I have some that I acquired 4L's with very specific letter combinations, some brandables that sound like English words, and some with high exact monthly search (60k+).

4L's are still a good hold, the longer you hold the more profit; the Chinese 4L's will continue to rise as the auctions & drops become more scarce. Now is the time to buy.
