Seeing the recent rise in values of LLLL.com domains, here is a question that I think some of the others would also be having :

Is it the right time to flip your already owned LLLL.com at this price?
Or
Hold it for future so as to have a higher ROI?
Or
Buy it at this price because you think it is going to sell for even higher prices in the near or far future?

Your opinions about their pricing lately??

I am broker in china.

LLLLs.com (exclude u,o,i,e,a,v) are about 1,000 USD over
I think the price will go to 2,000 USD.

You can check the price thru this website (chaomi.cc)
ps. USD = RMB / 6

The supply is running out. Once sold, they are gone-and hoarded.

$2k for a rare piece of the internet is... bargain pricing.

There are some who are voicing their concerns around their budget and why they cannot consider spending even a tiny fraction of $2k on rare and sought-after LLLL.com investments... but that only applies to them and certainly does not reflect other peoples' budgets and the quality of investments that others are accustomed to IMO.

Do you have any insight into who is buying up all these domains? Is it a lot of individual domain speculators or mostly just a few larger operations?

1.who buy those LLLL names?
- Domain reselling companies in china. 5~20 workers in a company send spam offer(under $500) email to all of you everyday.
2. why chinese company need LLLL name?
- chinese company name is very long, so they use it for acronym.
3. why they don't like vowels and v ?
- most of first letter of noun is consonant and chinese type v as umlaut u.
4. why they like number?
- easy to remember and similar pronunciation (1688 = alibaba)
5. who buy number?
- china casino company buying number domains (4645.com) - illeagl in china. so they have server in philppine.
- check 69999.com . (0=nothing, 4=death / 6=need,8=rich,9=long life)

Thank you for your time for explaining everything!

Couple of questions on which I believe you can shed on light on :

1. Do you think Chinese will eventually start buying all LLLL.com with the vowels as the supply for Chinese premium LLLL.com becomes less everyday?

2. And do you have any investing strategies of your own with the current market situation which you can share with us? In other words, are you looking to buy something in particular which you think will increase in value in China in some time?

3. Where do you see Chinese premium LLLL.coms' value in 1 year?

Thanks,
Shahil

THANKS! for those answers! For #4, is there a site that can do a good job translating the Chinese company name into a numeric value? For example, we enter "alibaba" and it spits out "1688".

That might not be possible at all because number pronunciations are limited so everything cannot be pronounced in numbers, but you can do it the other way around. Simply go to Google translate and write 1 6 8 8 (with spaces) and listen to the Chinese translation. Ha!

It sounds more like yolubaba :D

Edit: actually 2 6 8 8 is more like it. :P

My honest opinion.

There are 456976 possible combinations. Who knows how many owners and who knows what are their interests. Include demand/sale of all other domains, which influence the price of 4L.com and you get yourself in a position, where you can not make any productive analysis. It would be pure specualation.

But two things are certain:

1. Prices will change.
2. Prices will either go up, or down, there is no third way.

So, if I would hold any 4l.com I would rather go in developing action scenarious for plan a (prices going up) or plan b (prices going down). I think this would save you much more time and energy :)

When I get an offer on a name, I weigh the offer against what I would do with the money. Is the offer worth taking the time find something else to re-invest -- can I find something that's a good enough deal to make it worth while. If I can't answer yes, I tend to not do the deal... Unless I'm looking to splurge on something, which has happened. ;)
I make money on the buy.
That's when I setup my selling price and potential ROI.
Then, when I get offer I check it with the current market and if it's within the range I sell.
No need to think much, just stick to your plan.
All the thinking happens when you develop investment plan.

China will be big market in Asia, even though govn't has regulation (like blocking facebook, google, youtube.. in china)

I suggest you having india domain name (.in) and india pronunciation language (.com) from now on.

3. Where do you see Chinese premium LLLL.coms' value in 1 year?

-> I don't know what is premium or not.
When china company buy LLLL.com, they also expend lots of advertisment fee for acknowledge LLLL as their service. Rich china people like to buy keyword domain name like che.com (car) , fang.com (realeste) than LLLL.com
I guess chinese reseller will sell LLLL.com(without a,e,i,o,u,v) to their client (5k~10k) after 1 year.

Thx

I think the price of non Chinese premiums LLLL .com will continue to rise. There's a limited supply of LLLL .com (rare) and there is a lot of collectors in China. Also, NNNN with a 4 still sells at good prices!
