Is .info dead..

I never see any sites really anymore that utilize this extensions. Is there a significance of potential profit in .info's.

IMHO, I was never really a fan of the .info extension, never really saw a point in it. Most of the .infos i seen are parked pages. I think out of the hundred of domains i owned i only owned 2 .infos

I am just curious to know because I really dont here much correspondance on them. I might regg one for the h*ll of it. (wasting money)

I think .info is far from dead but really begs development. I'm sure Barefoottech would be glad to educate you on the value of .info. I buy .info Geo's.

I registered .infos only one time in my life and then I have promised myself never to register even the best ones if it has .info TLD. :'(

since it's more like an informational site, without the content, development, membership/scripts/turnkey it's not that high to sell.

I do not think that is a dead ext. I use it often times for mini sites, mainly because it is so cheap, and good keywords are still available.

if you own nice ones and are willing to develop, info are great. if you dont and cant be bothered to develop then you will feel different :sold:

however, it's true there aren't many it seems great developed sites

for those domainers that do own great info domains and/or have developed sites they can view some others here and submit their own sites to the official info site:

http://info.info

.info is sh*t as tons of spam message and virus flooding to my email and MSN are all .info

ironically all the spam on some of my ideveloped sites that keep 'posting' comments and spam emails are all .com,.de & .ru
loads of .ru & .de

because at some registrars .info is dirt cheap some spammers use, that doesn't make an extension sh*t, quite uneducated comment

in fact i can show you hundreds of spam every week that are purely .com, this is the sort of domain they use: xsdsdsdfdfdf.com
and it drives me mad. doesn't make .com bad purely for that
