I need an option for a sale and logged into Escrow.com, it's been awhile and this isn't working at all:

Verify your email address to confirm that this account belongs to you. Haven't received a verification email? Send verification email

Then I tried calling the 24/7 toll free support number. That doesn't work either. I make a call and silence.

Just logged in. It works like a charm.

Yeah, I can login as well. Are you getting the verified email message? Were you active recently? It could be I'm getting that because it's been awhile and not working for those people.

I had my most recent transaction there two years ago, so I haven't been active recently. I haven't received any message about verifying my email address.

If the buyer is not particular about using only Escrow.com, consider using AtomPay.

They are running a promo where EVERY transaction has a flat escrow fee of just $10.

Look into that.

Sedo transfer service starts at 3% fee, used them several years back, would use them again.

Minimum fee is 60 USD/EUR, good to keep in mind sometimes.

Their fees are still the same.

However, they are running a Black Friday promo where ALL escrow transactions using AtomPay attracts a flat commission of only $10. Even if the deal is for a $1M transaction.

As for the external leads, I believe the deal was specifically structured to cater for those.

You get an external lead, conclude negotiations and finalise the deal for $10 using AtomPay.

@JB Lions - My most recent transaction there as a seller was this past July (2025). No complaints. I think I first created an account there in 2019. At that time, there was the standard email verification process (based on my email history).

Also based on my email history, something may have changed on their end (maybe a site overhaul/update or a refresh for dormant accounts) at some point, as I did have to re-verify my email around mid-March 2023.

Thatโ€™s probably what it is. The re-verify message is at the top of the page when I login, just not working or their phone when I tried.

It was one of the options I suggested but surprisingly buyer chose PayPal. Paid half, I pushed domain, he paid other half, smooth.

Does anybody know if Atom.com is regulated to handle payment ?
I cannot find anything on their website stating that they are.

A good piece of advice is to avoid unregulated escrow services at all costs - as apart from running illegally they have a history of disappearing at random, and when they do large chunks of customers' money goes with them.

I am not suggesting that Atom.com is operating unregistered and illegally, I just cannot find any notice on their website stating that they are regulated to handle payment, and that concerns me.

If you know they are regulated to handle payment, please post here.

Are you talking about the US?
I could be wrong, but as far as I know, there is no legal requirement to be regulated or registered for escrow services here in the UK. Of course, any third-party should be trusted by both buyer and seller, and a contract or purchase agreement should be drawn up, but I could ask my next-door neighbour to do it. There are already laws in place or legal avenues in case anybody gets effed over.

Disclaimer: Not legal advice, I am not a lawyer :xf.smile:

The same goes for afternic/GoDaddy and sedo - anyone know if they're actually registered anywhere?

I can't find anything like this on their sites.

Most of these won't be registered to provide escrow services. Rob Monster and Epik was a good example of what can happen when your unlicensed to provide escrow services and create Masterbucks monopoly money. I do know some of these aftermarket sites when they reach a certain amount they will send the transactions to Escrow.com themselves GoDaddy.com etc... I'm not auditing every transaction so not sure if they're consistent on that once it reaches a certain tier or not. Really no reason not to send serious transactions to an escrow service as you can make the buyer pay all the fees like I have for 23+ years so if using 0 commission landers and putting the escrow on the buyer all your domain sales are fee free.
