Drop it ASAP & hopefully get a refund for the name.

Do not park the domain name..you get in trouble! But you may stand a chance if you develop the website...then the story will be difference...the last you want is that the trademark owner claims that you register that domain name in bad faith.

Hah! Never register an international brand with trademark. You'll end up receiving legal letters from that company's assigned intellectual property firm.

I doubt and their habit is to sue... It is still a TM infringement regardless of the extension. And you can be sued by the courts of your country. If you live in the same country as complainant (US) you are even more exposed.
