1. Does a ccTLD have value?

2. If I develop, say PartyPoker.cc, is it possible to rank as high as the real PartyPoker.com in Google?

3. Can I park at ccTLD at Sedo for example?

Thanks.

You can park a .cc at www.Sedo.com , if you want to make some money from parking your domain there. However, if you ever plan to sell it on Sedo, make sure it is for an amount large enough so that the $150 fee (for a .cc) won't bother you!!!

Aside from the obvious (partypoker.cc has been gone since September 2003, and might just be C&D-bait), it's not a bad idea.
Developing .cc's is becomming more and more acceptable as an alternative to .com's or similar. While the key to being highly ranked ( :imho: ) has more to do with the number of links to the domain with the anchor text as the search term, as well as content and age of the domain.
In any event, yes, .cc's can be listed at Sedo. If you sell through Sedo, there is a $150 fee that comes off the top (Plus 10% of any amount that would be over $150), but really it's all about getting the name out there. Most domainers would contact you through the whois info anyway.

Ok, I think you guys misundertsood me :) For the record, I do not own partypoker.cc - it was just an example of a ccTLD.

What I'm trying to say is that, the ccTLDs in some countries are still restricted only to it's citizens. Hence, I'm able to get many "premium" domains, e.g. stocks.com.xx, partypoker.com.xx, scripts.com.xx, banners.com.xx, affiliates.com.xx, etc.

So the real question is whether I can make money from these ccTLD domains, either from developing them, parking them at Sedo or simply leasing them out?

How to you put a sales figure on a domain that can only be registered by the citizens of a particular country?
