How to do a negotiation with seller outside domain business?

Hi,
I am currently contacting with the owner of one generic TLD name. And they are web design firm in developing country . As I talked to them , it seems like they know nothing about domain's valuation . So how to manage this deal so I can get the best price ? Anyone have had this kind of experience . Please advise

Honestly. Ask them what reasonable price they would part with the domain for. Get them to make an offering price. Once they do, make a reasonable counter. I f they ask what you think its worth, just tell them that your not sure, but would like to develop it if they arent. Definetly dont seem desperate, but be reasonable. A $50 offer probably wont get you very far.
