How often do you make a sale?

I'm wondering guys, how many sales are you guys making when domaining out of the domains that you have?

Say for example, I have a 200 domain portfolio, and I get one sale every week. That's a 0.5% of my domains being sold per week.

I'm curious, is domaining your main source of income?

It depends on if you do outbound or just wait for inbound. Like I just mentioned in another thread. Its been slow for me the last month or so.

Daily sales. Typically 1-3. Not main source of income though. I find it amazing what the godaddy app, an email and a cute iphone can do. I own approx 8k domains, approx 7k of which I've inherited (thank God for rich friends who don't know what to do with them). So people are always reaching out to me. And, in case you're wondering, I usually sell 3-5 domains per year for xx,xxx to take care of the exorbitant renewal fees.

No @alcy, I've never posted my sales.. at any time, on no webpage. My joy comes from helping others achieve goal. No real need for me to boast about it.

Hey @TampaDomains, I'm in Tampa as well! I just mean the Godaddy mobile app. I tend to flip domains anywhere. In yoga class, on the beach, while getting a pedicure, on my jet ski(yes, really) lol

Namepros is merely an outlet for awareness. Like bait, basically. Just reel 'em in to the top-dollar domains. Top-dollar domains typically aren't sold here. In fact, they're never really sold here. 6 members on namepros have acquired domains from me for $x,xxx in private transactions since I joined last year. And 2 other reputable namepros members have brokered and/or referenced me to end-users who have paid $xx,xxx each for 2 domains. It's not always about being on front-street. Not everything is for people to see. :xf.cool: One of my favorite quotes by Aristotle Onassis, "The secret to success is to know something nobody else know":xf.grin: #ThatIsAll

there is a popular thread on np, where people come post their sales. it's not fair of you to say they are all there to boast about their sales. I'd even venture to say it helps people achieve their goals, seeing others sales.. and what they sell and how... on that thread.
cheers.

The right question is not ''how often'', but ''how big the sales are''. So, i wish to have few sales at future, but big!

Umm, @alcy, I never said [all] are boasting. Again my exact words were, "no real need for ME" -- others' reasonings for posting or not posting sales are their own. I speak for myself, no one else.

well ....its always great to see some 5 figure sales.. so I guess we all hope one day you become capable of seeing such posts as something other than strictly boasting. if I understood you well, at this moment you are not able to see them as anything other than boasting on your part.

cheers
all the best

I wonder how come somebody who makes 3 sales to end users a day and some xxxxx sales in a year will bother to come to namepros and to use the bargain bin day by day to sell domains for 2$, I think that even the bump for that thread will not worth it, for somebody making xxxx in sales every day. It's so easy to throw up numbers of xxxx and xxxxx, but they all private and nobody knows about them but the one's which are public are all in the bargain bin. I don't think that you realize how easy is to do a reverse whois to check your domains.

This is true sir.

quite easy @boker. The same way both bums and wealthy people are capable of eating at Waffle House.

Even further @boker, how much do you think Calvin Klein offered me for underneath.com? Mind you, they acquired underwear.com just 2 days after it was first registered. Do some research.
