How often do your Sedo offers go through?

I was wondering how often does ones offer once accepted go through on sedo? I had one sale that was suppose to go through, but never did now I have another pending sale on a domain. Are there alot of people out there that put bogus offers on domains? And if so should this be verified that this is a real offer before Sedo takes your domain off the market for 10-14 days?

I'm running 100% through sedo, but this may be because of my promotions in front of end users which generates hot leads straight to sedo, I do this mainly for the escrow service. I have heard of a few people not completing transactions and I guess that would be bad if they pull your domain on a fake offer.

Mine are about 50/50, with half the buyers disappearing.

Many people I know have the same experience, unfortunately.

I've begun taking up SEDO on their offer, and getting the buyer's contact info after they fail to complete the deal. I write to them asking what the problem is (why not, heh!). Most don't answer, but sometimes I get a reply with an excuse. I wish I could say I've gotten some type of satisfaction from doing so, but I can't. It's a pretty hollow feeling.

I have had 9 successful transactions. Only 1 fell through, wasn't Sedo's fault.

Most of mine on Sedo complete without no problem ...

The horid feeling though for me was the last two that failed D-:

Hope lady luck gets back on my side when the next ones come up.

50% so far. I wish it was 100% - it could save some time.

I've had a couple fall through, and I don't really know what it benefits someone to place false offers, unless they really were just trying to get your domain listing removed for 10 days... (competing website?)

In any event, overall positive, albeit the negatives are the ones that really stick in my throat.

Only this month I got 6 offers.
2 went ok and pay.
4 disapeared.
I think that there is a scam attack on Sedo this month.

Please be informed that we have contacted the buyer in regards to the outstanding escrow payment that is needed in order to proceed with the transfer. You will be contacted immediately upon receipt of more information.

It is the old story, it is too easy to make false bids atm. Some form of bond should be put in place whereby the false "buyers" get penalised if they pull out.

I have had quite a few, 2 in march alone, not just Sedo but via other brokers and forums.

I now make a point of putting the contact details of those perps in the warning forums. Just makes me feel better.

I've had more fail than go through, just had another one grrrr. Each time I've had to "prompt" Sedo to adhere to their own contractual terms (yes, I actually do read the fine print in contracts:)) and relist the domain after the purported buyer's default. A domain should not be held hostage in pending mode on Sedo for more than a week because of a defaulting flake buyer. I've now been waiting *ten* days to get the most recent defaulting buyer's info from Sedo, when I get it they better hope I'm having a good hair day. I heartily agree with a prior poster who suggested a bond or some other surety from potential buyers. This business of flaking out on contractual sales agreements without so much as a virtual slap upside the head undermines the industry and frankly, I now consider every "purchase" with calculated cynicism until the fat payday sings. Must add though that I had a recent sale on Afternic, went like clockwork, bidda bang done deal.
