Good evening from here Champs!
P.s kindly share, when the competition on a domain name is High, does it mean the value of that particular domain is High/Low as regards to factors that make domain names valuable?

Thanks

There are many factors on which the value of a domain depends, These are CPC, ad competition , global monthly searches, memorability etc
If more people are bidding on a particular domain then there may be something extra in that domain which is making it more valuable.

The answer is generally, yes. If you're trying to rank it for SEs, the competition makes it harder, but in all other contexts, this value is high. That is, this depends on the context you're asking for "when the competition on a domain name is high":
  • If you mean competition for a domain auction, then yes, the value (and price) is high
  • If you mean competition as listed in Google's AdWords planner, then the value/price is high to bidders as well as potential for site.

I think the OP means specifically for the Google Keyword Tool. There are three possibilities: Low, Medium, High. I too am interested in more insight into the OP's question. I just want to clarify what I think he's trying to ask. :)

Cool-- In that case, (Please correct me if I'm misunderstanding that you meant keyword instead of domain).. if you're referencing the listing in Google's Keyword Planner (searching for keywords rather than domain names per se), which is defined as the number of advertisers that showed on each keyword, then what that means is that it is competition by advertisers for the target keyword ...

So, say you're checking for "web hosting in texas" and the "Competition" column says High, that means there's plenty of advertisers bidding for that keyphrase and if you're an advertiser, expect to pay more, not just in a fixed price, but in the bidding other advertisers might make (this being a competitive kw).

On the other side of the field, if you're a domain/website owner that shows up in the SERPs for this keyword, and have Google's AdSense working on y our site, then *potentially* clicks from your site will earn you more (I say "potentially" because this isn't guaranteed of course, but is a very good indicator).

Note that this may or may not have a direct impact on the basis of average monthly searches (volume) because some keywords can have little traffic (like mesothelioma, etc.) but are very expensive due to very high competition.
