Hi

Yesterday my first ever sale on Tdnam (7 Day auction) finished and the domain reached and bettered my reserve.

I have received an email from the buyer asking me to push the name to his account however I have yet to receive any contact from Tdnam telling me that the funds have been received.

Am I right in assuming that I do NOT start the transfer until I have received a notification email from them re the funds?

If so, how long does this usually take assuming the purchaser pays for the DN at the close of the auction?

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

you are correct.

when the auction closed, you should have received an email from godaddy along the lines of "congratulations, please dont transfer or change accounts until we tell you".

then, when the winner goes through the checkout process and pays, you should receive another email along the lines of "okay, transfer or change accounts now, you'll get your money in about X days"

Thanks,

Its strange, I have had no email about the close of the auction, looks like I will have to contact them by phone and check.

When the auction ended the only email I received was
a Domain Transfer & Change of Registrant Authorization

and that was only AFTER the buyer paid. It'll instruct you on how
to contact the buyer through the system.

The first contact shouldn't be from the buyer.
When TDNAM gets the funds, they'll send you an email with the above mentioned title.

My bad! I've not sold via auction on tdnam, just buy it now.

Hmm, I've just sold another one today, but that was an offer/counter offer listing.

I did receive the "congrats" email ( below ), seems weird that they would send this for offer/BIN names but not auctions?

===========================================================
Congratulations! Your Domain, ****.com, Has Sold!
===========================================================

--------------------------------------------
Your customer number is: ****
--------------------------------------------

Dear ****,

Congratulations! The following domain name has sold:

Item Number ****, ****.com

-----------------------------------------------------------
Please do not accept any transfer requests of this domain at this time!
-----------------------------------------------------------

We have contacted the buyer and asked them to remit payment for their purchase. Once we have verified the receipt of the funds from the buyer, we will contact you to let you know how to complete the transaction.

I have received this communication from Tdnam in relation to my question as to if I have missed a payment verification:

We are currently in the process of placing new verification procedures in place to protect against fraud. We have not sent you an email about your auction ending as we now have customers wait five days while we verify the payment. When the new system is fully active you will receive an email when the auction is over stating that you need to wait five days. You will receive an email after the five days are over that the funds are secured and you can not move the domain name. Thank you for your time.

My buyer paid immediately when the auction ended (great NP'r :) )
and the second time - same thing, no "auction ended" email, just the one
I posted above...maybe someone else with a completed 7-day auction
can post what they received. :)

I have a question:

I recently sold a name through tdnam and after about 30 days of waiting, finally received the email from GoDaddy saying the transaction is complete; however, no money has been placed into my PayPal account. Is there something I now need to do in order to get the money transfered to my account? This is my first sale through tdnam, so excuse my ignorance.

Thanks.

After receiving the "The following transaction(s) is now complete"
email...it'll take about 5 days to be transferred to your paypal account :)

Edit: I can't rep you any further at the moment.
