Just got off phone with GD rep.

I was doing transfers over to @epik

Saw a domain that was supposed to be transferred but of course the auth codes didn't work.

So the transfer failed at dynadot. It was a .de.

I was given the option to renew. So renewed for $5.

It disappeared from top of the expired red section.

So assumed it was done and done.

Check my email . In this order

I see receipt.
Domain cancelled
Domain cancelled.

Huh????:banghead::xf.eek::jawdrop:

I check my GD and indeed it was gone.

Call up GD and supposedly since domain expired back in Sept or Oct it was on its way out to registry.

Thing is. I checked the domain in my inbox and see.

1. No notice his domain ever expired. Although in GD's defense I did not set or forgot to set it to autorenew because like I said. I had planned on renewing it. Is this why no expired notification?

Long story short forked over $40 to redeem plus $5 renewal

Things like this really should be plain simple black and white. If you give me the option to renew for $5 then it should renew not delete.

What bothers me is that I have a Wild West Domains account with .de that expired back in May and they are still on there and I am renew them all for $5 no redemption.

Nothing is ever consistent with GoDaddy and resellers.

Do I have any leverage with getting my money back because I was never sent a renewal or expiring notice? I checked. None.

Or did I not get one because I did not set auto renew?
