GoDaddy Auctioning my domain

Hi guys,

I registered a site on GD which had dropped off on Weds for the standard .com fee using a discount code.

Having just looked on GD, it says the domain is currently available as an auction, which runs currently at £1,000+ (0 bids - of course!)

Is this just a marketing thing?
