How many people do you think will get the internet for the first time due to the mobile revolution?

How many will use it more regularly?

The mTld, and its vision, will make a tremendous difference to many different regions and demographics of people throughout the world.

And think of how much knowledge will be gained by a gTld. Just as extensions were becoming more local with ccTld's, mobi does a tremendous service in making it global.

I know I'll be getting it for the first time. I suspect that as awareness grows and sites become easier and faster to access, millions of people will get it as well.

You can discard 3rd World countries like the one i live in, the cost of the mobile internet access are so high due the low penetration, that i don't see many people surfing the web from their mobile phone. But for people in the US and Europe, it's huge.

I suspect as the market grows, prices will drop. I envision the mobile web becoming a necessity worldwide in the near future. Imagine how it will change doing business having access to whatever, whenever, with you at all times. For consumers and businesses this is a dream to have access to each other at all times!

Eventually it will become "cool" to have the mobile web and people will give in and pay the extra few bucks a month for the priveledge. The younger generation will bring this to life :imho:
