The .mobi mTLD is now in its sunrise period, the time for laying claim to domain names based upon trademark rights.
What's the chance that domain speculators are hard at work, laying their cough . . cough . . bona fide claims to Sex.mobi, Hotels.mobi, Shop.mobi?

The mTLD (Mobile TLD) central registry.
From the mTLD central registry website:
Our investors include Ericsson, Google, GSM Association, Hutchison, Microsoft, Nokia, Orascom Telecom, Samsung Electronics, Syniverse, T-Mobile, Telefónica Móviles, TIM and Vodafone.
Anyone have plans to develop an expertise in .mobi?
Are we sleeping at the dawning of the new age of web browsing, mobile browsing and mobile advertising?
Is .com poised to start losing ground?
Do we really need .mobi? Why? The mTLD has some interesting backers, including Google. Does that mean that Google sees a profitable future in mobile web browsing? I bet it does.
What manner of business enterprise will work best - have the highest likelihood of success - on the mTLD domain?
Should you be in the running for Chicago.mobi? NY.mobi? Hotels.mobi? Pizza.mobi? concierge.mobi? Taxi.mobi? Reservations.mobi? Limo.mobi? Games.mobi? Weather.mobi? Tickets.mobi? Seems to me that there are certain phone/mobile search or mobile services that are best suited for mobile phones.
