Expired domain sold at GoDaddy auctions. Do I need to renew?

I had listed a domain for sale on GD auctions and it expired on 10/09/2013 I was planning to transfer it out to namecheap.
Today I got the email that it is sold at GD auctions. Now I am confused. Do I have to renew it or it will be transfered into buyer's account as it is? Anybody has any experience with this?

I think you can still renew the domain by paying a fee of $80.

Unless the domain justifies paying the redemption fee, you're maybe better of letting it go.

The domain expired this month, 9th October 2013. It still shows in my account and renew option is available at standard rate.

P.S. Maybe I should have made it more clear in my opening post. Let's just say I am trying to save the nine bucks. hehehe

Oh, I thought it was 10 september.
In that case, it is a normal renewal fee.
I'd renew it.

Hmmm l didn't know that. I have now renewed the domain. Shouldn't risk it.
