I listed a domain for sale on godaddy auctions with buy it now format. Few months ago I sold the domain somewhere else and forgot about its listing on godaddy auctions. Yesterday I got email from godaddy auctions that it is sold here too. Now it is showing status as "funds received and authorization pending". I don't own this domain anymore. What can I do now?
Ofcource I don't want any trouble and I don't want to lose my godaddy auctions account. My question is what will they do?

Newbie191 - PHONE GoDaddy Support IMMEDIATELY and explain the situation to them.

Fingers crossed they and the buyer will 'forgive' your memory lapse - but phone GoDaddy NOW!

Were you recently bitten by a snark beetle?

OP let us know how this turns out. This is a good lesson for us all, for myself especially since I know GD Auctions lists at least a couple domains I now own that I never listed with them.

It seems godaddy is making it more and more difficult to contact their support with every passing day.
What is the worst that can happen? They will close my auctions account? What is stopping me to open another one?

Newbie - you joined NP 5 years ago, you have 10 trader reviews, have done 153 posts - nothing wrong with those figures, but you have committed a breach of etiquette by inadvertently advertising for sale a domain name you no longer own. Up until your last post, I and probably others, felt along the lines something like 'that could happen to any of us'.

Unfortunately, your last post, quoted above, makes me feel differently. When a mistake is made it is up to the person who made the mistake to try and correct it and/or at least let other parties involved or affected by it know about it immediately. The buyer in this instance could have borrowed the money to make the purchase and is paying interest on it, could have allocated money for the purchase which is then not available for other things, etc.. Your response above seems to be to shrug your shoulders and only think about yourself and how it affects you. In my opinion you have potentially done yourself or your reputation damage.

Please contact GoDaddy at once and get this matter resolved satisfactorily, GoDaddy telephone contact details for support are shown at the top of their homepage - that is not difficult to find.

Yes, they will close your auction account. There is case they may ask you $50 fee to re-open your account again. That's all.
Try support @ godaddy.com ato email them. You will get a reply in 24-48hrs
Mostly the first reply is a copy-paste of their TOS, but if you insist again you may actually have someone who red your email and will get a reply.

Just want to update you all on this. I talked to them on live chat couple of days ago and told them that the sold domain was nolonger in my account. The support person was polite and helpful. They told me I will have to pay a 10 $ "administrative fee" for this and my auction account will remain suspended unless I pay the fee. The support guy also pointed out another domain which I had listed for sale and was nolonger in my account. He suggested I remove that domain too from GD auctions.
I paid the "administrative fee" last night and my auction account is now restored.
BTW here is what they told me when I requested them to waive off the "administrative fee"

Thank you for contacting Aftermarket support. The fee is on place to ensure the integrity of the auctions and deter violation of the terms of service. In order to treat every customer equally, unfortunately, we are unable to waive the fee. It appears you are currently selling *******.com and this domain is no longer in your account. Please remove that listing, and verify ownership of your other domains listed.

Seems logical. If they stop charging such fees we will most definitely stop caring about removing sold domains from our accounts. :)

glad it all worked out

how long before we see someone here requesting a coupon code for the administrative fee?

I already tried that. It seems coupon codes don't work on administrative fee.

$10 is small fee to pay. Good that it is resolved
But then when you put domain up for sale at Godaddy Auctions does it have to be a domain in your godaddy account? So if the domain is not in your account, Godaddy would know
:)
