I was charged around $255 for a ccTLD which was about the norm for 2 years. Great, I thought I had got the domain. Almost 2 weeks later, they ask for my passport number. OK. I sent it to them. Now, I get an email stating that the domain is unavailable.

Guess what? They charged me a $7.54 USD fee after paying for the domain. And now they're charging me $11.50 VAT for refunding my money.

Oh and to top that off, they said I'll receive my refund within 30 days.

To sum it up: I paid $255 + $7.54 (fee) + $11.50 VAT (Refund fee) and will only receive a partial refund in 30 days.

**** EuroDNS.

That's so unethical for holding your money hostage for 30 days.

By the way what CCTLD was it? Couldn't you get it elsewhere or only EuroDNS offers it?

I had a similar experience, got pretty much ripped off as well by EuroDNS. Someone should start a EuroDNS sucks website.

Can EuroDNS be sued for misleading their users?

Oh yeah let's go sue them. That always solves everything. :P

Sure they can. If they actually have mislead their users.
But they could just as easily sue you for defamation as it stands, as there doesn't seem to be any evidence that they've done anything wrong...

I think everyone should calm down.

Im sure Eurodns have this stated in there TOS which you would have agreed to when placing your order.

Yes it might not be right that they charge you this money but unfortunatly that is business and people need to make money.

They have a thread on here im sure drop them a pm explain the situation and you never know they might help you out.

Well thats my thoughts...

Regards,

Robbie
