How reliable are Estibot appraisals?

Also, I have a portfolio of +/- 300 domain names which I want to sell / get rid off.
I am not really a domainer, I just ''tried'' it out, but there is more to it than buying a domain and just waiting - I, unfortunately, don't have the time to actively domain.

I have used Estibot before, paid for it, but never used it. It has now expired. If anyone has an active Estibot account; could you maybe check what my domains are valued at?

Also;

I have made a few sales on Flippa, ranging from $30 to $300 per domain name.
But I don't want to list everything separately; too expensive and I might not even make much out of it after all the fees etc.

However, I see a lot of people have listed ''meh'' domains and applied the EXPENSIVE upgrades to it, like $350 Flippa listing for a below average domain name.

Are they just taking a gamble, or are there ways/discounts to get cheap Flippa upgrades?

Estibot appraisals...
A Domain is worth what a buyer is willing to spend for it. Don't get me wrong I'm not knocking estibot but the more work or development you put into the effort Is what determines the price.

If your looking to sell your +/- 300 Domains I would suggest placing it here with a BIN (buy it now) attached to it or "Make an offer" thread. Keep it clean with no more than 5 or so per post and you should get great results.

I'm un aware of any discounts on auction sites since I never sell on those sites so maybe someone with more knowledge can answer that for you.

Good luck and great fortune!

Ignore Estibot altogether, and all other automated appraisals

Thank you for your informative reply.

I have one question; you mentioned ''keep it clean with no more than 5 or so per post''.

What do you exactly mean?
A maximum of 5 domains per listing on this website, or do you mean a maximum of 5 listings per day?

Estibot is in no way accurate. I had a domain once valued at $11,000 on estibot and it ended up selling for $100 and that was more than it was worth in reality.

People who know anything about buying and selling domains know that estibot is a joke for the most part. You can use it to sell domains on eBay and put that it was valued at $xxxx on estibot and people who don't know about domains will think it's an accurate representation of the domain's value.

In reality, forget about estibots value quotes. Look at similar sold domains from the different domain marketplaces and that will give a better idea of what a domain is worth.

Correct, 5 per listing that way you can keep better track of your sales and buyers don't overlook anything.

You can PM me a list while you're at it. ;)

I'm too confused about domain valuators. I've domain name Smart-Stop.Com and tried aprox all domain valuators. All showing different value like $50, $499, $850 etc. But when I check similar domain Sale found that SmartStop.Com sold for $59000 in 2012. Now I'm confused about domain worth. Please suggest me. If anyone interested then PM your quots.

Don't use estibot or any auto appraisal software, most of them not give you an actual value.
It's better you ask here on Domain Appraisal forum section, hopely there are many domain expert may willing appraise your domain.
