I just found 3 of my .tv names which were registered with normal fee few years ago at www.tv, now their renewal fees are raising up dramatically, 2 are for $1000 and one is going for $20000 per year?!

How can they do so? it has been against their own pricing policy which as long as we keep our domains on registration, the reg fee would also keep as what they were, right?

Any thoughts? :td:

No panic, the second phase is now to adjust each account from the data they are expecting or have received from .TV Corp. I have been told that this should be done by today, I am a bit sceptical for the deadline but still confident.

This just in..

We have not yet receive full pricing data on domains yet from the registry. Please check every few days on renewal pricing as we're getting that information and it should be on the domain record within the next few days.

Thank you for your patience,

Demand Media cannot do that. Would be a contract violation, and arguably equates to extortion. Assume for the moment it is a technical error. Your email merits a swift response.

I am not sure how many threads we need to have about this, but this is a technical glitch I have spoken to them they plan honiringall renewal fees. I have spoken to people who have a direct contact at Demand Media who have not gotten replies and these people are really flipping out as they have $50 renewals on major premium domains. THe renewal fees for regular domains have not gone up for the person interested in regginf some. ENOM.tv has become the cheapest place to reg a non premium .tv at $19,95 the renewal is listed at $50 but you should just reg for 2 years when you reg so you give yourself time to do something with the domain.

Equity,

You must be bombarded ......but for the millionth time!!!

How sure are you Enom are not going to try fuxxxing us with renewal fees....Afterall, Friday has come and gone and not a word yet on the invitation thread from Enom to clarify or reassure us.....

and if Fleakings story is just the beginning...

Good point James but I think the thing being overlooked maybe some don't care but it is three days before Christmas I am sure many have been on vacation and light rosters you notice QDALY has not posted all week.

I was told this was a major project and ENOM did not get all the renewal data right away from Verisign. I believe Premiums renewals will be corrected because everyone has a valid invoice and some are right so you could not raise some peoples and notothers that would show discrimination.

Fleaking story is a VERISIGN story not A DEMAND MEDIA story and if the new owner had tm on PETS tv I think they were going to UDRP that domain anyway not saying that right but they would do what SPeed Channel did with Speed.tv

If some are showing that they bought a premo in the recent 70% discount and have their account showing 50% renewal fees - that is indeed very powerful evidence.....

Do you think these guy/s would go on the record abaout their 50% showing in their accounts if we dont hear from Enom by the new year??

Bloody hell....what an absolute mess!!

By the way, this renewal mess is also a VERISIGN story, as they did not sell the rights to DM - they have just outsourced the management and NEW pricing structure...any old renewals remain VERISIGNS responsibility..IMHO

Thanks Eq

James I believe Demand Media is getting info domain by domain not even account by account. So its like we got the info on Education.tv it should be $7500 Update ok we got the data on Sports.tv it should be $xxxxx next so I think it will be done piece meal

If you think about how your discounts were showing via some goofy discount code, I suspect that there was no straightforward datafield associated with each name and they are manually going through the discount codes and invoices.

Which means it will be a slow process!
