Hi everyone...

I have just tried to reg. a .tv name at ChannelMe.tv and also at eNom.TV, but I was rejected due to my IP number (I live in Turkey). I have an account at eNom.TV as I have a premium name registered with www.tv last year, so enom has all of my info but I couldn't register the name! Here is what they say: "We are unable to process this transaction because we are currently not accepting orders from this IP." I cannot believe this! Anybody had the same problem? I wonder what's going to happen when I need to renew my premium name??? :( Is this about all foreign countries or just Turkey? Any comments???

I had the same problem from Israel. So my last 50 reges were all done with GoDaddy

I finally called enom since the goDaddy .tv sale was over so the $19.95 started looking very attractive to me. I waited about 8 minutes on hold and then finally got a woman who told me that I need to send an email to [email protected] and request to have my ip unblocked.

So I did that and within 5 minutes I got a response asking me for my ip address and then after another few minutes got an email telling me that I was good to go. And sure enough I was able to place an order.

I was very impressed with the speed of the reply, I thought it would take at least a few hours.

SearchingTV,
You are great! Thanks very much for informing... I'll send an email to that address ASAP! I use DSL to connect the Internet, and my IP is not the same all the time, but it's worth trying... Thanks again! :)

Best,

THEY BLOCKED ME AGAIN!!

Not sure if this will happen every day or not, but why do I need to be manually approved everyday?

Sorry to hear that... Do you have the same IP whenever you get online? Or does it change like mine?
I sent an email last night, but haven't received any reply yet............ We'll see!

SearchingTV,
That's interesting that you got a response within 5 minutes!!! It's been one whole day since I sent my email (it was daytime in the US, yesterday), I still haven't heard from them. Maybe they are not ready for the international market?! :( Big mistake!
Have you contacted eNom again? They solved your problem?

I contacted them again and twice they had to approve my IP address, it seems that it changes. They said I should request from my ISP the same address always or a block of addresses which they would all approve.

Hey guys... has anyone got further clarity on this issue.

Does it mean that if we access enom.tv outside the US on a dynamic IP, that we are not accepted as customers / cannot make any transactions?

Have been in touch with [email protected] but still no success. Has anyone had more luck or have any advice on what's the best way to buy these 19.95 dot tv's from enom.tv?

Btw, does anyone know if its ok to transfer out after one 1year, or are there any hidden costs.

Thanks for all feedback.

hi all, new to this list. really glad to have found this thread. In the last month, I've registered about 140 .tvs at enom without any apparent problem. I'm in Canada.

It's been more than 20 days since I sent an email to [email protected], and I still haven't received any reply. They are really great!!!! 8-X
It seems like eNom is willing to do business in only English speaking countries... Interesting!
